What Famous, Fantasy, or Dream Vehicle would you like to be made a Transformer?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

What Famous, Fantasy, or Dream Vehicle would you like to be made a Transformer?

Postby skywarp-2 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 7:11 am

Happy Friday to all you guys around the World!

Well I was trying to figure out what is the one thing that besides Rocklords, planticons, and Go-Bots, what is the one thing I'd love to see end up being made a Transformer, assuming Hasbro could acquire the License???? :-?

Side note: I'm not for or in favor of Plant transformers...

Well, I personally have always had a soft spot in my heart for the 69 Charger!!! Specifically the General Lee!!!

Now you have to understand, my choice is based on the fact that for about 7 Years of my young life, while I was into Transformers in the 80s I lived in Louisiana, USA...and on TV down there you had Dr. Who, the 1960s Star Trek reruns, Dukes of Hazzard, Transformers, Gi Joe, M.A.S.K., the vcenturians, Silver Hawks, Thundercats, He-Man, Knight Rider...and a slew of other cool shows from back in the day..

Incidentally, I would have gone with the A-team van, complete with some kind of molded gold neck detail and mowhawk, and a "I pitty the Poor Megatron who tries to fight me," attitude!!

Still I have a soft spot for the south from those days...

Image

If Hasbro made a decent sized Genreal Lee, that would be cool, I could display him as the Dukes of Hazzard car, or as a Transformer! plus the name is just perfect.. "General" Lee... It's sooo southern, it actually begs to be served up with Fried Possum and chitlins! :)

Anyhow, what Famous, Fantasy, or Dream Car would you love to see get a Bot debut?

I'd like to see the Back To The Future DeLorean as a transformer, especially if the robot mode had a chest flap with the Flux Capacitor underneath.

Damn!!!!!

That was a nice idea!!! I pictured it in my head as I read your commnet.. very cool!!! It should also have the ability to fold under the wheels like it does when if flies in Back to the future 2...with detachable rocket packs that can convert the car from the original as seen in the first movie, to the futuristic flyer of the sequel, and it would also be a functional rocket pack for the robot mode as well...

they should release a "Famous series" where the cars are well known cars from Movies and Television.. It could be Optimus Prime's and Megatron's secret Hollywood teams, who after the movies covertly battle and steal information from powerful people...in L.A.

hahahaha  I'm just brain storming..nice idea though!!! ;)^

Man that would be a legal nightmare trying to get all the right licenses.

I'll throw out the Batmobile.

Agreed... Legal nightmare to get licenses.. but if it were possible, and profit sharing would come into play I'm sure, but it promotes the movie, or TV series, and Transformers at the same time.. Marketing, Marketing, Marketing...

Anyhow I have to wonder, which Batmobile would you like to see become a Transformer.?? Cybertron Megatron came pretty close... but what's your idea?? :-?

I personally wouldn't mind seeing the 1960s TV show version, with the large back fins coming off the back of his legs, and the back truck and rocket booster as his upper back, so it looks like a jetpack...the front grill becomes the chest and attaches to the back end, while the arms are actually the top cockpit seat sections, so when his arms come down they look like he has 2 sheilds on the ends of his arms..near his hands...and his head should have a definite Batman feel to it...with his waist machinery having a utility belt feel to it as well..

coool idea!!! ;)^

I was thinking something similar, like a fanart gallery of 'celeb' transformers. Yup, Batmobile. Obviously KITT from Knight Rider would be awesome, although I wouldn't want to see a face on him, so maybe an unusual Roadbuster-type head. Airwolf, Stingray and the Thunderbirds, the Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo) and...well, all of Wacky Races.

I wouldn't mind seeing a bunch of 'historical' transformers either. Like a pirate ship, a paddle steamer, a catapult or a Ford Model T.

Motto: "Eh, keep your little planet. I'll outlive it."
Weapon: Fusion-Powered Particle Blaster
I would really like to see

-the Trailer Trucks from The Lost World: Jurassic Park which went over the cliffs. The two sections would become two separate TFs or one big gestalt.
-the flying car from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
-The cargo ship SS Venture from King Kong (2005)
-The 2005 Batmobile (Tumbler)
-The Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman =P seriously, the TransFormers toyline needs some really weird alt modes like wooden ships

Any and all Batmobiles would make great transformers.

Also even though I never got to see the original show due to my age a Speed Racer Mach 5 would be interesting.

Historical.. hmmmm :-? well since this is about famous or Fantasy "Cars," I'd have to go with the most famous Paddy wagon in History...!! the Munster Mobile!!!

it would transform and have those large pipes coming up beside the chest and the head would have a Herman munster/Frankenstein feel to it, and the feet would definitely have to be blocky, with teh wheels mostly on the shoulders or the bottom legs for Bulk...

I always felt that in the Transformers Energon series toys, that Barricade/Onslaught was a great homage to Frankenstein... I'm actually excited now about trying to find that figure, he's actually pretty cool!! It's a monster created by Megatron!! look out!! it's Backpacking Barricade!!!

I can see him going MMMMMMM!! MMMMMMrarghhhh!!!

Now I remember a really weird series of toys in England. They were the heads (and only the heads) of Hammer Horror-esque monsters, including, yes, Frankie, and they had pull-back motors. And...they turned into robots. Most odd.

As for celebrities, I always felt that Pepsi Convoy should have been succeeded by Rodimus Coke.

not sure if I can get inline with the ships, especially wooden, but I can say that the first Submarine ships used in the civil war would make an excellent Transformer..

But yeah, the Tumbler would be freaking massive!! and a Badass Transformer!!!

I love the idea of the flying car from Harry Potter.. one clean and a Battle damaged version with a spider decal on it...

the Trailer Trucks from The Lost World, now that is a cool idea, especially the combiner stuff.. I can picture it.. nice!!

I know the licensing would be impossible to get, but a line of NASCAR racecar transformers would be cool.

I'm not too crazy bout the idea as I've no love for NASCAR, but at least to molds would be easy. Could use the same few for every car.

Sorry man. I wanted to make a joke about Coca Cola Megatron, but the idea of a gun with a fizzy drink logo on the side is too irreverant even for me.

I would love to see a dirigible or zeppelin transformer. Obviously the balloon would be deflated for robot mode.

LOL... Drink Coke, and shoot someone!! that's hilarious!!

I was thinking on the whole Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.. and actually that is a pretty cool idea!! ;)^

Picture this............

The whole Van becomes the Transformer, but while in Altmode the back top section splits apart like Prime's trailer to reveal an extendable weapons platform, similar to Prime's trailer circa G-1, but also the weapons platform is detachable and can itself transform into a hound dog, similar to that of Soundwave's Ravage, also Circa G-1, and has a deco reminiscent of Scooby Doo!!!

Damn, If I didn't own my own business, I should have been a lead toy designer with Hasbro!!!

I have my own personal take on the reason that Skids didn't appear in the cartoon much...he got himself painted up in hippy flower van designs and toured Europe.

IIRC they've done a TF knockoff of the "Burtonmobile", plus Mattel's "The Batman" line is supposed to have a transforming Batmobile mech in it based on the one on the show, and I've seen at least one dA piece of the Tumbler as a Prowl-type TF. I like the idea of the '66 TV Batmobile as a TF, but personally I'd like to see them make a toy of one of the Bat-Knights from DC's "Kingdom Come".

Heh, you mention the bulk on the legs and all I can think of is when the Autobots disembark from the Ark to go off to fight the Decepticons, Optimus tells "Herman" he has to stay behind to guard the Ark, at which point Herman mutters "DARN! DARN! DARN! DARN! DARN!" and stomps his feet, causing the ceiling paneling to tumble down around him...

I like the gallery idea. Outside of a dozen transforming Batmobiles, KITTs, BTTF DeLoreans (I've done one, and even Doc's Time Train from the end of Part III) and a couple Airwolfs, I've also seen fanart of at least one transforming Herbie (not Bumblebee-like, obvious though that would be) and a General Lee. And IIRC one of the TF sites had some contest or something that involved repainting the G1 minibots as movie and TV vehicles.

Personally, I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Flintstones' car...

I'd love to see that red motorcycle of Keneda's from Akira make it's debut as a transformer...that would be cool as well...

I'd love to see this car, the Atlantic make is way itno a Transformer..
http://www.classics.com/pbbch03.html

Also what about these:
the Tucker car...
the turbo intercepter ...from the movie, the wraith!!!
the Firefox Mig Jet from the movie-Firefox with clint eastwood.. and his obsession over that stealthy mig!!

oh by the way, the Herman Munster bit, with him on the Ark.. priceless!! I almost sipt my drink out laughing so hard!!!

some one mentioned the Mach 5, which i think would be awesome!! it could have battlles with it's arch nemesis, Racer X!!!

How about a C.H.I.P.S. motorcycle transformer complete with a sweaty Ponch,Erik Estrada, figure!!!

It would have had to be in the Alternator line but I would have loved to see an Aston Martin V12 Vanguish. The DBS V12 from Casino Royale would be sweet too.
