What for you is the most useless object a Transformer could change into ?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

What for you is the most useless object a Transformer could change into ?

Postby KL70 » Tue Oct 30, 2007 9:38 pm

What do you humorously reckon would be the most useless object/s (whatever your definition of that is) any admired or disliked Transformer character could transform into and please say why, for anything named ?

I always thought that Soundwave starting out as a Cybertronian lamppost in More Than Meets the Eye was pretty hilarious.

I can just see it. "Seekers, spread out and strafe the Autobots from above! Shockwave, transform and join them with your energy blasts! Soundwave, you... ah... stand there and ensure we don't have to fight in the dark?"

I think out of all the Transformers, Soundwave benefitted the most from the reformatting. ;)

LOL!! Ditto that. XD But I guess lamp posts were really common on cybertron. Making him a great spy. Although, the lol factor is too high for me to really take that seriously.

Bot #1: Hey, I think that lamp post is following me....

Bot #2: Nah.... Lamp post don't walk, stupid. DUH.

G1 Megatron, why? Because he can't function on his own in gun form, he has to have someone hold him. At least Shockwave can function on his own in his Cybertronian gun mode.

Megatron seems even more useless by the fact he's the leader. Shockwave is clearly more powerfull, he should lead the Decepticons.

Soundwave is preddy funny in either form but at least he has a good use for his alt modes. He's a spy. The alt modes aren't used for battle.

Megatron on the other hand, a gun that can't shoot anyone unless another Decepticon (useually Starscream) holds him.

Back when Soundwave was a Tape Deck CD Players and I Pods didn't exsist yet. :P

Tape decks were still in use back then. Of course by the movie Soundwave really should have picked up a new alt mode.

Come on, they thought we'd have hovor cars, hovor boards, armored transforming space suits, and all sorts of other new technoligy that we still DON'T have but they thought tape decks would still be in use by 2005? Wow people in the 80's were dumb.

In Soundwave's defense, being a tape deck was a great idea back in the day. I lost count of how many times in the original cartoon that one of the humans decided to pick up that weird blue stray tape deck lying around and take it along with them, making life much easier for Soundwave. ;) Plus the Cassetticons are awesome. :D

Shoe-formers would be the worst ever lol, can you imagine if your shoe transformed (just a single one) randomly to wage the secret war? It would be pretty inconvienient wouldn't it. you'd be hopping around until it came back (or in a worst case scenario it never came back)

And its no good as a spy because whats it gonna do? swap one of your trainers and take its place? alot of trainers have specific detailing lol.

yeah, a single shoe alt mode would suck :P

hmmm... but as an assassin, the lace could be handy as fibrewire... :-?

Anyone that needs another TF to pick them up or can't really do anything in thier alt mode. This means Megs, Soundwave & Blaster, even though I love them dearly. He just can't do anything as a tape deck except launch his Cassetticons. And there's another group-the Cassetticons, they can't do anything in their alt modes. At least Sixshot can transform to another usable alt mode if he needs to.

Yeah, I don't get the whole arguement that Soundwaves' alt mode sucks because we don't use tapes anymore. We don't see dinosaurs anymore, they've been extinct for 65 million years, but pants worldwide are soiled at the mention of the Dinobots. We don't have cars that in real life look like some TF alt modes, but no one cares about that. We don't badmouth the horse drawn carriage now that we have cars, and we don't laugh at the wheel because it's not made out of stone anymore. In 1984, Soundwave had a perfectly legitemate alt mode, and it's become his classic alt mode form. Why is that so hard for people to deal with?

Soundwave's modes in general have always been a li'l silly. In terms of a non-existant transformer- I'd have to go with a toilet. Why? Robots don't use toilets, that's why!

Also I still use my tape deck :-?

Useless forms

Postby GremlinGrimlock » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:30 pm

Soundwave...coolest form, most versatile and easy to blend in.
I still use tape decks and tapes as well. Most useless forms
for a transformer...A coffeemaker. Any household appliance.
A fridge or stove. Waste of energon. However on the flipside..a golf cart would be an interesting form. Or an rv,winnibago. Civi skin reak havoc.

How offten do you see a horse drawn carrage? Only in historical parks set in the time before cars were invented. It's not like we see horse drawn carraiges on a dayly basis (unless you happen work in said historical park) rolling down the highway and there's never going to be a "before CD players were invented" historical park so how do thoughs compair?

BTW if one did see a horse drawn carrage rolling down the highway in like New York or San Fransico they would laugh. I laugh whenever I see an old guy who still driving a model T. Thoughs things are old as hell.
