I can just see it. "Seekers, spread out and strafe the Autobots from above! Shockwave, transform and join them with your energy blasts! Soundwave, you... ah... stand there and ensure we don't have to fight in the dark?"
I think out of all the Transformers, Soundwave benefitted the most from the reformatting.

Tape decks were still in use back then. Of course by the movie Soundwave really should have picked up a new alt mode.
Come on, they thought we'd have hovor cars, hovor boards, armored transforming space suits, and all sorts of other new technoligy that we still DON'T have but they thought tape decks would still be in use by 2005? Wow people in the 80's were dumb.
underwear ninja wrote:Soundwave's modes in general have always been a li'l silly. In terms of a non-existant transformer- I'd have to go with a toilet. Why? Robots don't use toilets, that's why!
Also I still use my tape deck
How offten do you see a horse drawn carrage? Only in historical parks set in the time before cars were invented. It's not like we see horse drawn carraiges on a dayly basis (unless you happen work in said historical park) rolling down the highway and there's never going to be a "before CD players were invented" historical park so how do thoughs compair?Dagon wrote:Saber Prime wrote:Back when Soundwave was a Tape Deck CD Players and I Pods didn't exsist yet.Bumblebee-otch wrote:soundwave as a tapedeck. at least we still use lamp-posts!

Yeah, I don't get the whole arguement that Soundwaves' alt mode sucks because we don't use tapes anymore. We don't see dinosaurs anymore, they've been extinct for 65 million years, but pants worldwide are soiled at the mention of the Dinobots. We don't have cars that in real life look like some TF alt modes, but no one cares about that. We don't badmouth the horse drawn carriage now that we have cars, and we don't laugh at the wheel because it's not made out of stone anymore. In 1984, Soundwave had a perfectly legitemate alt mode, and it's become his classic alt mode form. Why is that so hard for people to deal with?
BTW if one did see a horse drawn carrage rolling down the highway in like New York or San Fransico they would laugh.
[/quote]I laugh whenever I see an old guy who still driving a model T. Thoughs things are old as hell.
