I seriously doubt thats it.
After Prime kills Bonecrusher, you can clearly see that Prime is looking around, and it seems like he's looking for something or someone. I'm betting it was Barricade he was looking for.
As the movie stands, it's not a matter of "oh the audience is stupid lol" it's a matter of "Wow, this is balls to the wall insane, knockdown, dragout street fighting, one of 'em got away because he could and no one paid attention."
A lot of people tend to have a very negative and disgusted view when it comes to this movie and those behind it.
...just remember, no one's perfect. No one did this to you on purpose just because it would piss you off or something.
Think about that, the next time, before you hit the Submit button.
