Actually, the gorilla alien's gimmick was that it could spit acid (obviously with the toy, water was used for health and safety reasons)

Aliens all the way. Bleed and spit molecular acid, and are better designed. The movies are a lot more scary than Pred's, too.

That, and they're pretty intelligent anyway. They can operate guns, according the comics. And they have the all powerful hivemind. ^_~

Yeah, the one in Alien 3 (from a dog or a cow, depending on which cut you watch) could spit acid. But that seems to be an oddity, the aliens in Resurrection couldn't, they had to butcher another alien so its blood would corrode their cage.

Ignoring how ridiculously low you rated "The Terminator", how did you put the theatrical cut of "Alien 3" above the special one? I much preferred the cow chestburster scene, and the whole Golic worshipping the alien thread. The end lets both films down, though, I thought. Gradually less and less characters surviving, just like the first one, then bam, a whole new ship arrives with a pretty stupid appearance by that Bishop guy, dunno if he was meant to be a droid or not (I know he bleeds blood and not milk, but no way is a person going to take a headshot like that).

I have to say Predator cause that the only movie Ive seen out of all the Alien and Predator ones there are. Plus look who did the voice of Pred well the first Predator movie at least (the man in my sig pic).

Predators for their willingness to hunt almost anything and their cool weaponry

And Aliens for their lethal, lethal tendancies and willingness to make almost anything a host for their young.

Hmm...in order of ranking of goodness (in my opinion)

Aliens, can't beat it. Its the best of all of the Alien movies.
Alien, it started it all, and it had a lot of suspence.

Alien 3, it was alright, but it was very sad. I didn't like how the crew from the last movie all died in this one, especially Newt. And then Riply dying at the end. The movie was an utter killjoy.

Alien: Resurrection, quite a bit of blah. I liked the whole concept of Riply coming back as a clone, with a bit of Alien DNA mixed in. That was cool. But what I didn't like was the new Alien Queen, the Newborn, and that Riply had aquired(sp?) the Angry Woman Syndrome common in these kind of movies.

Now Predator:

Predator, was a good movie. It absolutely kicked butt.
Predator 2, not so much. But stilla somewhat good movie.

Your forgetting the books....the aliens books were a hell of a lot better than the predator books

I gotta go with Predator. But In the end of a AVP, the predator that died close to the end of the movie, gets infected by Alien, so basically that means there be another movie, with more vivacious monsters sometime soon.Lol Discharge, thats like having a preview of the new movies, before it comes out. Not necessarily.

That ending, at least, needed to be there to explain how the Xenomorphs (Aliens) end up on a vessel in space rather than still stuck inside that pyramid given that AvP is a prequel when put into the Alien movies timeline.

I always figured it was due to the facehugger and not the host - that the queen facehugger thing would result in that weird quadrupedal alien as a sort of bodyguard to the queen.

I say alien because i think the alien series had better sequels

Udders are just a cow's nipples, and aliens using any other kind of mammal for a host don't have nipples either.

Aliens for me. The desigh is awesome. Even if at first, the ''alien'' was a sexual thing. Giger has one F**** up mind. But anyway, for me, aliens are not just some random bug-like creatures like in the comics. They're really more than that. So complexe and perfect killing machines able to adapt to anything.

Predators = cool. Everything about them is cool; the way they look (ugly = cool), their weapons, their sense of honor (I killed all of your friends, now I'll have some fun with you oh adorable little punching bag), they can turn nearly invisible and when they're defeated they'll try to take you down with them by blowing everything up... You know, they're cool.

So yeah, to each their own. I prefer aliens, but Predacons.. I mean Predators... are also awesome.

By the way guys, just in case you were not aware of this, AvP 2 is coming in december 2007. Was scheduled for this summer, but there was too much competition, so they moved it 'till december. The 21st seems to be the official date so far. Yeah I know its strange, but it does seem to be official.

I thought AvP took place in a alternate reality wher Paul BS Anderson was as good a Director as Ridley Scott and John McTiernan.
