Gotta disagree with the examples you gave,
MiB, Extreme Ghostbusters and GINO were terrible, they took averything good about the films (which, in the case of GINO, wasn't alot) and threw it away.

I think Extream Ghostbusters was quite cool, cool artwork, smoth anmation, good stories and a nice continuation of the first Ghostbusters show, with cameos that were cool and awesome.

The Godzilla one was better then the actual movie, again nice artwork, smooth animation and ystories and besides he actually could spit radiactive flames and fight other monsters, which is the whole point of a godzilla film.

MiB, just as i stated before, I love cartoons like that, dark, humor, good animation and all.
Pokemon had like, stupid stories and artwork, plus the animation was crap.

It's a CGI show, and cel-shaded. The art style is quite reminiscent of Penny Arcade (In fact, when I first saw it, I thought "Holy ****, Gabe has a cartoon now?!"). The animation is top-notch. If I didn't know better, I'd say Mainframe was doing it.

And the writing is really good, too. They skip edutainment almost entirely, but the action is well done. And a neat concept: Motorcycles that turn into jets?! Sign me up!

Ah, I was wondering where that show went. I didn't know that it switched to Toonami, another good 3d show.

Speaking of which. With Miguzi gone, I'd really like Toonami back where it belongs, on weekdays again. I really don't see why not to put it there again, as the only thing filling weekdays usually is reruns of crap.

I miss also that one thing they had on saturdays instead of toonami, dunno what it was called, but it had this pixelated samus like guy running around shooting everthing and also usually had a great line up.

Also CN, QUIT **** SHOWING LIVE ACTION CRAP!! The Ben 10 movie sucked, that new re animated or whatever show sucks, don't like goosebumps, and you edited the crap out of most of the movies you've shown.

If you want to air crappy live action shows, then change your name to crappy live action network. Adult swim is somewhat exempt of this due to the fact that I don't see the word "cartoon" anywhere it it's name.

"Cartoon" Network. Not "Crappy Live Action" Network. That says it right there. When we lost the cartoon channel, we lost cartoons.

It didn't bother me as much losing Toonami to Saturday. What bothered me more was losing Toonami to Goosebumps and not that Halloween's over, it's still on?

Apparently, all they have is DBZ, Naruto, and One Piece...

...Oh my God, they sold out to Shonen Jump.

I'm interested, though, what they plan to do with Gundam 00. Given that it's a bit more adult that SEED, (What with blatant mentions of Jihad, terrorism, and whatnot) I doubt it'd end up on Toonami. And given that SEED barely lasted to it's final episode, and SEED Destiny was only lucky enough to get a DVD release, I honestly wonder if Bandai is going to take the time to distribute this.

And Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes. It was the good ol' F4 with a very slight anime tint to it. And it was awesome! Some of the best lines I've ever heard in an comic cartoon.

One of the voice actors is Dana Snyder, aka Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I haven't seen it, but one ad was actually pretty good. One dude thinks pepper spray would be tasty, but then admits "I WAS WRONG! I WAS HORRIBLY WRONG!!" when sprayed with it.

It takes nuts to put Pepper Spray in a kids show.

So far the only things worth waking up to see:

Avatar
Stormhawks
Fantastic Four
Legion of Super Heroes.

The way I see it for cartoons, 80's was the decade of fads, the 90's was the deeper meaning, artsy cartoons (before the flood of anime), not to mention the cartoons aimed at teenagers (ex. The Maxx.) Then we come to the 2000 period, where things begin to slip into a black and white, right and wrong, good vs evil thing that is there to serve as another form of educational media. Now, there are quite a few exceptions through out the past seven years that broke the mold, but were eventually swept aside for more education and censoring. Hopefully with the new cartoons on the way, (such as the new Spiderman, Transformers)we'll see a transition from educational back to a more entertainment area where we don't have the brightly coloured characters staring at us through the screen, demanding we tell them where something is located when it is clearly right behind them.

On another note, have you ever actually sat down and watched an episode of Dora or any of those kiddy shows? They really give you a digraded sort of feeling when they pause for almost 30-45 seconds waiting for an answer they'll never hear.

Won't talk for any other nation but here in Australia you get a crapload of Government funding if you make edu-tainment as opposed to a straight out cartoon.

Meaning you either get 30 minute toy commercials or really bad edutainment cartoons. Or a really bad Wiggles/Hi-5 imitator for shows targeting pre-schoolers.

No arguements from me with this Trunks. Look at the cartoons made by Yoram Gross studio. They make Filmation look like Studio Ghilbi. I swear they only use like 2 people for VO for their shows (so make the Headmasters dub professional). My minor gripe with the newly elected Labor gov is that with Garrett in charge of the arts I thinks we are going to see more crap for kids made. If I had kids I rather em watch CN, Boomerang for their toon fix.

Avatar the Last Airbender is the ONLY show worth watching IMHO. Sure there are some pretty good cartoons out there such and Storm Hawks and Ben 10, but Avatar is the only cartoon that I get excited about watching anymore. Tonight's episode, Day of Black Sun, is no exception.

It's because executives of companies are always trying to revolutionize their medium which means they pretty much ruin it.

Supposedly stormhawks is getting canned because it's getting the Megas Treatment (ie put on at ungodly hours). Legions ok but how they are treating imperiex makes me despise them also for killing off ferro lad. I will always prefer BTAS over The Batman even though the Batman is pretty good (also supposedly in it's final season), Chowder is fine and Billy and Mandy was pretty good especially with references to pulp classics like Evil Dead and He-Man (Billy and Mandy is also getting canned though Maxwell atoms was just told not to make any more new episodes after one more upcoming event). Ben 10 while ok is going the way of the 2003 TMNT and doing a split off series called Hero Generation (will still have ben and gwen but will also focus on kids with powers similar to the aliens on the omnitrix) which will probably suck. Even though the live action stuff sucks on CN apparently little kids eat it up, according to polls the live action Ben 10 got highest views ever second only to the debut of DBZ on the network. This sucks because then they start pumping out more crap like Re-animated which is horrible. Also there is an oversaturation of anime as more networks outsorce to anime american companies get lower budgets to produce cartoons so we get incredible crap. Although i do enjoy One Piece fairly well (one of the only shows that can make turning into a giraffe badass), I despise Naruto even if i still watch it (it's like watching a car wreck you cant turn away, also i know one of my dnd sessions someone with a ninja class is going to try and pull something like they do in that show off and i got to try and make stats for it) still im not really a fan of the shonen anime concept merely because they practically make the main character untouchable in power except to the villian and it follows the same formula. Avatar is pretty good and Danny Phantom was pretty good even if it was essentially a high budget flash cartoon and then the creator got greedy and they canned that.

Still i miss good shows like Gargoyles, the Tick, Freakazoid, etc. the stuff today is pretty much crap.
