Well, after the zombies attack, the govt's of the world with nuclear weapons will use them in a feeble attempt to stop the infection spreading.

Or when one of the following triggers a global nuclear exchange:

1. Pakistan vs. India
2. Israel vs. whoever
3. America vs. whoever
4. Some idiot with a dirty bomb vs. paranoid country it was detonated in.
5. North Korea vs. whoever
6. Iran vs. whoever
