I started to write this in the free comic day thread and thought better of it..........

Would you like to see some of the Japanese G1 characters in the IDW-verse?

Part of the reason I like the Beast Wars mini-series is because of the appearances of Lio Convoy, Big Convoy, Magmatron, etc.

I think it would be great to see Overlord, Black Zarak, Deszaras, Ginrai/Victory Leo, etc. Maybe not in the main series but just as a mini-series.

What do you reckon? :-?

Overlord and Ginrai FTW. also a Grand Maximus and Death Zarak as cherries on the top. but i'd like for them to be merged into the IDW continuity and not as a separate series with no relation to the other titles at all. i'm sure Furman and co. can pull this one off.

I'd also quite like to see Stepper/Ricochet and Artfire. Stepper in particular would make sense since he got a US release.

Like to see them all, but especially, Dia Atlas, Victory Leo, and Overlord...

And how about IDW takes a crack at the micromasters a bit more? NOthing since Spotlight: Nightbeat...

Yes, I most Certainly would want more Japanese characters to appear in future IDW comics, the BWII & Neo characters just arnt enough. I would like Dai Atlas, Overlord, Dezaras & Ginrai to come in at some point, as well as Brave Maximus.

As long as they don't do it the way they did Beast Wars Ascending. I got all four issues, they were pretty good, but honestly, they packed WAY too much stuff into them, with little to no characterization (I did like Bump's use for some reason), and the story was basically just one big fight scene.

Ginrai popping up beside Prime would be really cool to see(with a logical explation of course), and Star Saber's one of my favorite characters of all time.

And mentioning adding Japananese characters wouldn't be complete without a very biased fanboy demand for Guiltor

while I'm not sure how Ginrai would work out, I'ld like to see IDW's take on the others.

I could see Overlord getting a name change to Gigatron if his powermaster gimmicks aren't fully used. but given the Nebulan presence he could be in cahoots with Scorpinok :shock:

I just wanted to type cahoots :lol:

That'd be pretty solid. I really gained an appreciation for the Cybertron Godmasters from Masterforce, as well as Overlord and Dark Zarak. Those were some awesome villains from the TF-verse. As well, Dezaras and Leozack were compelling bad guys too.
