If you want the EL Panel to power up when you turn on your lights just connect it to the lighting wires of your car. It is that simple!

How to install the EL Sticker on your PC

Connect the molex connector to the power supply of your PC and your EL Panel will be powered on. Any PSU will be able to supply the 12 volts needed to turn on the EL Panel.

What is EL technology?

Luminescence results from the characteristics of certain substances emitting absorbed energy. The stimulation of luminescence by electricity is called electro luminescence (EL). EL commonly uses fluorescent compounds, luminophores and phosphor compounds as light-emitting substances.

How does it work?

An organic phosphor is sandwiched between two conductors. When an AC signal of sufficient voltage and frequency is applied to the conductors an electric field is formed across the phosphor. This causes the phosphor to emit visible light. E-PANELS use EL technology to produce a dazzling lighted effect, creating a radiant display of pulsating light. E-PANELS have micro-electrodes leading from each independent flashing element to a driver. In addition to storing the animation, each inverter also has a high frequency power inverter and an IC chip. The power inverter increases voltage, making the E-PANEL exceptionally bright.

Cool item.

Looks great on the PC.

However, I have one question: How is this even legal on cars? PA won't even allow light kits on a car. People do it of course, but they get busted. Especially if the lights are red or blue.

its legal in most countries cause el stickers does not emit glare, it can also be used as a third brake light. I am not sure about the legal implications but anything which increases visibility and isnt hazardous should be ok right? The size of the sticker isnt obstructive as well.
