Rattrap, Rhinox...

If I had to pick one, I'd probably lean towards Shockwave.

Beast Wars Rampage. He had a good degree of complexity, and an unstopable killing machine is always kind of cool.

1) Soundwave, and having him as a fave gets to include lazerbeak and ravage...

3) Megatron, the original not the crappy armada/cybertron/RID ones
4)Galvatron, hes megatron but insane and doesnt need someone to hold him to shoot at people

Surprisngly, I find this to be a pretty easy question to answer.

My absolute fave is Razorclaw. Swoop and Dead End follow closely behind, though.

Autobot:

G1 Prowl when he's characterised properly as in the tech specs, Dreamwave and by Budiansky.

That said, I am fond of RID Prowl.

Decepticon:

G1 Megatron, best scene was against Predaking in the Marvel comics.

Missing half his face and fusion cannon with Predaking towering over him.

"I am Predaking, the greatest hunter in the galaxy, and you little robot are my prey."

"You are a fool, I am noone'e prey. I am Megatron the conquerer!"

He then proceeds to defeat him.

Even his defiance of Unicron "Noone summons Megatron!", a planet-sized demigod.

How can you not like him? Even his toy was banned in the US! That's badassery!"

Both G1 Prowl and Megatron are great toys in their own right. Being the inspiration for the Autobot insignia, he's essentially the only G1 to appear in all versions. I feel the Soundwave - Decep insignia are too different.
