For me it was Beast Wars and Beast Machines they are to this day my all time favorites. David Kaye is the best actor to ever play Megatron. I mean seriously there was something about his portrayal that was so unique and I loved Megatron's clear arrogance and narcissism it made him seem so much more evil than the other versions.

It's ironic that I never knew the actual titles because in TR: Robots in Disguise. I saw autobots and I'm like "Wait what?" Then I see Predicons and I'm like "Oh okay." Then I see the Decepticons and I'm like "Wow Awesome!"

It wasn't until the Unicron Trilogy I realized the true plot form of the series. (I was a kid cut me some slack.)

Beast Wars for me as well but I was too young to understand anything goin on.

I was old enough by the time Armada rolled around and loved it. But lost interest when Energon pushed its way into the franchise.

Then hopped back into the franchise again from War for Cybertron/Hub's re-runs of the G1 cartoon. Watched the opening episodes of Season 1 and just fell in love with the lore. Now I'm a fan again.

For me it was Generation 1. To be exact, the original EU airings of Season 3, and re-runs of Seasons 1 and especially 2. Long live Satellite TV!

Technically, it was Beast Wars/Machines, I don't remember which one came first. However, I didn't really start getting into Transformers until Energon and Cybertron.

For me it was Beast Wars. I knew about G1, mind you, as some friends at school were fans of G1 and would educate me when we brought our Transformers to school and played with 'em, but I didn't really love G1 until I discovered the IDW comics.

My very first series was the 2007 Movie, very surprising I missed so much. I found out about the earlier series like in the time before Revenge of the Fallen came out. That's when I started to look into it more.

Though I wasn't born until 1985, I had no idea about Transformers until I saw the '85 movie when I was 7. Is it weird that one of my earliest childhood memories is watching the original animated movie?

G1 is the measuring stick. The reference point. Love it despite its flaws. I think Transformers, I think G1 first.

The first series for me was Transformers: Energon. Which I could not understand since it was all Finnish dub! The only thing in english were the titles and episode title cards.

G1 for me too. Was my favorite show as a kid. I find it hard to enjoy some of the newer shows with my son now because I want to compare it to the original

Once my mom suggested watching transformers, and so we started with the Animated series (which went to G1, Prime, and I'm currently starting Beast Wars). And thanks to her, I am now a giant transformers fan! And so far my favorite is TFP (with Mom even hooked into it, and Dad is even starting to watch it, lol). :grin:

I'm a G1 fan, though at the time I never saw the cartoons, I used to get the occasional issue of the UK comic ( first transformers comic I got was the reprint of the Movie adaptations- three US issues in one glossy covered magazine)-
My G1 experience began with the ladybird books- and cassettes,
