Zelda or Metroid? MY HEAD'S GONNA EXPLODE!

Postby Depthscream » Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:25 am

I have a Wii and I want a good, single player game (So I don't have to put up with my brother whining about how his controller "Isn't responding"). I've narrowed my choices down to two. Zelda: Twilight Princess or Metroid: Prime Corruption. I have had experience playing a couple of Zelda games and I like them. On the other hand, I have also played many Metroid games and I like them too. Both are great games and I need help to pick which one to get. I know that eventually, I'll get the other one after, but I want to know which one would be better to get first. Anyone?

BTW, please don't reply if you don't like one or both of these games, I would like to hear a non-biased opinion.

Thanks,
Depthscream.

Zelda, while I have not played Metroid yet(don't own a Wii).

Zelda will last long enough for you to buy Metroid.

Plus, it's Zelda.

Good point, but it might be better if I got an opinion from somebody who's got the games.

Thanks, though  .

Oh, I own Zelda, just not Metroid. I have TP for the Gamecube. It's a great friggin' game.

I have both games and I agree with Senor Hugo. Get Zelda first. Both are awesome on a bun, but if I had to choose 1 or the other, it'd be Zelda. It is the better game and has a lot more variety.

:BOOM: I was leaning towards Metroid but I'm thinking maybe Zelda's the one I should get. But, Corruption was actually made for the Wii in the first place, while Twilight Princess was made for Gamecube, so it might play better.

On the other hand (Again), Zelda is a great game.

... :BOOM:

If you're going to get Zelda, I'd actually suggest getting the GameCube version. The Wii controls are fun, especially the fishing, but I hate the whole inverted world thing. If you're more into Metroid though, get MP3. It is alot like the last 2 games. That could be interpreted as a positive or negative depending on yourself. It also has a little bit of a Halo feel. And it does voice acting. Alot more \nintendo games should have VA.

Indeed. And I thought the VA was really good too. Shame they killed off the hunters, and that there wasn't a wifi multiplayer where you can be the hunters :(

I'm just trying to imagine how much the top ninty titles would rock even harder if they had VA too. I mean, Metroid has some, but not alot. And Zelda has always needed VA.

Uhhh..... I went to the video rental place and saw Metroid there ( Zelda wasn't) and I rented it and I'm afraid I have to buy it now.

So, my questions answered. No need to post here anymore.
I'm stuck on Rundas!

lol Good man

For Rundas, make sure you scan him first (and often during the fight to make sure you don't miss anything), and just keep strafing.

Just like in HMW, strafing is where the real money is. Just keep a lock on him, and fire charged shots at him. When he's stationary, rip off his armour and fire missiles till he ain't no moa.

I shouldn't have posted that little bit. I always get stuck on a boss then I get off the game. Then when I come back, I beat them! So I beat him yesterday.

Thanks, though. But my strategy was a little different.
I just fired normal shots, with an occasional charge. Then after I ripped his armour off (I scanned him) I just fired normal shots, with an occasional charge, again. But when he was low health I went Hypermode on his icy butt and defeated him.

And there was much rejoicing. Yaaaay. :D

hehehe :D

I didn't really use hyper mode against bosses in MP3. Sure, I ranked up quite a few uses in the end, but that was from messing about and experimenting with things.

Once January ends, I'm gonna play through on hypermode. That should be fun.
