Jazz's Sword? Movie Inaccurate Weapons?
In the movie, I don't recall Jazz using a telescoping "sword," which is the weapon that comes with his action figure. All I remember is him firing a crescent-shaped cannon (like the one that came with the "Final Battle" figure). Am I missing something?
Or is this another one of those inaccurate action figure weapons? (i.e. Ratchet with no blade, instead a clamp-thingy; Classic Bumblebee with shoulder missile launchers).
Isnt it also peculiar that the Decepticon action figures don't come with any external weapons?

Nope he didn't use it in the movie. There was concept art for it though. And what do u mean external weapons? Handheld stuff? None of the autobots had those either.

All the autobots had handheld stuff. Decepticons didn't.

You got it backwards. It's not that the Movie doesn't match the toy, it's that the toy doesn't match the movie.

FRENZY!!! (even though he's right at home as an internal weapon as well.)

Re: Jazz's Sword? Movie Inaccurate Weapons?
These toys are cranked out into production as soon as their designs are finalized as it typically takes a good year or more to design and produce them so if there are any inaccuracies it was most likely intended to be used as others have stated that they were in the original concept designs but were changed in the movie itself because of changes made to the story or characters themselves.
There are some many writes and re-writes these days it's not even funny so these things are bound to crop up all of the time in production runs of toy lines.
It's not a big deal.

Classic Bumblebee did have shoulder missile launchers. That was one thing they did get right.
Aside from that I wish they would actually get the toys correct to the movie/cartoon. The cage clamp for Ratchet is tacky and dumb looking but the blades were cool. Thats probably why they went w/ the cage instead...to cater to the advocacy groups.

Deluxe Bumblebee Old Camaro have those shoulder cannons.
Movie Bumblebee had them too. When he was hooked to the tow truck, and Mikaela was driving like crazy, Bumblebee used his shoulder cannons to blast Brawl.
The only inconsistency is, Old Camaro toy had the cannons. While in the movie, it was the New Camaro that had them.

But the Concept Camaro toy does have the big handheld cannon (which transforms into a blade/sword) too. Is this not the same as the one in the movie?

Cannon, the same. But no sword.
Bumblebee used both shoulder cannons and hand cannons.
But that's hand cannons. Not hand-held cannons.

At the same time? When he was being towed by Megan Fox? This is getting more confusing...

Practically... yes.
He shoots alternately from shoulder, then from hand. Actually, he shoots a few rounds from the shoulders first, apparently, while trying to balance himself or something. Then, as the tow truck approaches the end of the road, Bumblebee shoots from his hand-cannon, delivering the final blow to Brawl.

Actually, Prime pulls his out from his back. His hand doesn't transform into it. And of course Ironhide has his situated on his forearms already.

But Ironhide toy is inaccurate with that cannon. The movie truck do not have those cannons hanging along the step board.

Why is it inaccurate?
It has this long rod thing. Which is bigger and more prominent than the crescent.
I only see a small crescent disc in the movie, sprouting out from the wrist. And no missiles too.

Hmm... I wonder if there is a way to shorten the long rod thing. I know it attaches to his forearm, so it'd be a cool "sprout out" if the rod can be shortened.

The first one is called a sword. I don't know if they call the second one a sword too.
