Anyone else noticed how Jetfire and the Dinobots swap origins between the Cartoon and Marvel Comics?

Cartoon: The Dinobots are build on Earth and Jetfire (AKA Skyfire) is discovered frozen in ice

Marvel: The Dinobots are discovered 'frozen' in a prehistoric tar pit and Jetfire (nae Skyfire) is built on Earth.

Its funny what you think about when walking home late at night.

I still dont get the whole Jetfire/Skyfire thing. Didnt Skyfire go for one episode?

Dont quite know his roll in the comics, I just started catching up on those.

It would be interesting to use the machine that Megatron used on Rhinox on Beast Wars to either see what evil versions of Jetfire and the Dinobots (well atleast Grim) would be like OR to create new characters all together.

Autobots mind you, that renderd a brutish and battle savy gladiator version of Jetfire and a Dinobot with a logic-based mind and a scientist to boot.

Seeing as IDW claimed Grimmmie was in one of the pods, although i hate his spoty alt mode, you might be on to something there... An evil Jetfire seems like a flying Predacon Rhinox to me :cry:
