Sooooooooooooooo AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Pics just do do this set justice, So great in person and I only paid $135 shipped with insurance. Now I just need to get the shoulder rockets.
But I have to say I love Fansproject so much. In the past 3 months I have gotten FP Bruticus, CA 3, r and 5, Protector and now City Commander. I also have Defender Pre Ordered.

im assuming this was the original? you can get the KO version for $30 and theres easy ways to fix it. only real issue is the shoulder pads but they can be fixed so they stay on within 30 minutes
congrates on getting city commander but 135 was WAY to much
that being said he IS one of my fav tf toys of all time

I think he was just giving the KO a plug. $135 is a nice price at this point. If that was the shipped price, I think that's less than what BBTS charged with their 'restock'...

City Commander will fit Classics Optimus because Classics Ultra Magnus is just a white Optimus. They are the exact same mold.
However, Fansproject released a version of the armor colored for Classics Optimus called Powered Commander.

cheapest City Commander I found: $31.95
cheapest Powered Commander I found: $159.99
Can i overcome my guilty conscience to have this set to complete the C-01 Henkei Optimus I ordered last week?
Does City Commander look acceptable on the classic prime, or will I regret it later?

It looks acceptable, but the armour was made to match the plastic colour of Classics UM, the legs especially look like one solid piece then.
But yes, it looks OK and still really badass on Classics Prime.
Also if you want a trailer for Classics Prime, get the FansProjects G3 trailer, it's awesome.

This is most likely a KO and they have problems to say the least.
As Dead Metal suggested, THE trailer to get for classics prime is Fansproject G3 trailer. It even comes with a weapons pack for other classics figures.

As far as trailers go for Optimus and Nemesis (if you have him) I recommend the G3 for Optimus and the BTS-01B Nemesis Command Center for Nemesis Prime. Both of them are worth it for their Rollers alone.

Any opinions on the BTS mobile command base? It looks pretty sweet and has an additional add-on accessory that makes it even cooler!

So FP's traielr has many more features. But it's all personal preference. BTS' has that nice add-on set that makes it compatable with a slew of different Primes, but ... I don't have any of those except Classics Prime, so it's useless to me.

I'm not saying don't go for either the DIA Commander or Powered Commander armors for your Classics Optimus. But if you are looking for an alternative that might help Optimus and Ultra Magnus be distinctive from one another, and aren't interested in the BTS Trailer (which I must say, from what I saw of it, didn't do much for me, either) then like others in this thread I might suggest the Fansproject G3 Trailer. At the risk of shamless self promotion, here is a review I wrote that includes the that trailer.

While I'm extremely happy with Fansproject's trailer and didn't ever feel a great need to get the BTS one, I did sometimes vaguely wonder if it would fit on the extra hitch like that to form like a tandem trailer. Don't suppose you have a photo of that you can post, do you?

He was 100% right. Crazy though how the hobby has changed when we now have KO's of 3rd party stuff.

Here you go.
I got FP's trailer first. Then I heard someone on the board say that it, combined with the BTS one, looked like a train and all I could think about was "I like me some trains". So I bought it when it went on clearance.

Also, I second the recommendation of the Perfect Effect mini warrior add-ons. They're simply wonderful.
