Good explanation! I was wondering about this yesterday and this makes sense.
I also wondered if maybe the government cut-up Megatron and the other Decepticons on purpose, so that "just in case" they ever WERE reactivated then it would be a lot harder for them to function properly.

If I kicked you in the leg, it might injure you, it might even break your leg. but it wouldn't break your leg clean off.

But at the end of the battle, he stands up after being 'Sparked...

I thought he just went up on his knees?
Swerve wrote:I wondered about Barricade's disapearance. It's possible that Prime killed him offscreen, which is pretty lame. His fate could have been cut from the final film.

It kind of pisses me off when I buy a movie and it is either stripped down or there are other features that will be added to the Director's Cut Ultimate Special Edition a few months down the road.

QFT!! I bought the 2-disc edition that had the prequel cartoon in it and there were no special features at all. And then my sons talked me into buying the DVD set that's got the case that transforms into Optimus Prime. Admittedly, it's a really cool case so didn't take much persuading, but there were still no deleted scenes on that "bonus features" disc, either. Now that's 2 sets I've bought, and you're right, in a few months they're going to want me to buy another one to see deleted scenes and the IMAX stuff? I think I'll have to borrow that from someone. I'm a big TransFan, but there ARE limits.

If I punched your head, would your eye pop out?Bonecrusher's did. Maybe Prime is just that tough. Plus, symple physics, if metal is super cooled for thousands of years and then thawed rapidly, it's pretty brittle.
