Re: KO Dino-Cassettes Dial and Zaur Now Shipping
I chose the cheapest (slowest) option, so the estimate on mine is about a month. But I can be patient. I got a tracking number from them, so I'm pretty sure there'll be no troubles with my order.
This is actually the first G1 KO I'm getting since I first started collecting and got Devestator for about $20 in China Town. I'm pretty excited to get 'em.

Received these more than a week ago.
I don't own the originals so I can't do a comparison review like I've done in the past for other KO/remake figures. But here's what I can see from these KO/remakes

Box print quality is good. No complaints there.
Each figure comes with filecard, instruction sheet, sticker sheet & tech spec decoder strip. Stickers are pretty well made and fit the figures well. Again no complaints

Transforms well. Only complain is that the joints on one of Dial's legs are pretty loose and can be tricky to pose. Difficult, but not impossible. Zaur has pretty good joints but his body shows scratches which I think has something to do with the mold.

A pic of the crappy combine mode. Crappy even for G1 standards.

Overall, no harm getting it for that price IMO.

Re: KO Dino-Cassettes Dial and Zaur Now Shipping
My very first problem free buy from KO Toys. Glad I got these guys, although you really have to be careful when combing. The stickers can wear out a lot.
I really like this set, especially Dial. I have almost all the G1 cassettes now and he feels like the most advenced for his time. The only thing that bums me out is the loose joints. I guess I'm spoiled from the Takara reissues, but even a vintige Squak Box had stiffer joints than these guys (yeah, I chose to buy the expencive vintige over the KO; it's just how I roll). It's really a bummer since it makes my favorite of the two really hard to stand.
Still, it doesn't ruin the figure. I really debated not applying the stickers, but caved in the end. I'm kinda glad I did, but I worry about the longterm health of these stickers.
I hear tell that they're thinking of making tampoed versions. I dunno if these guys are worth a rebuy, but I'm thinking on it.
Combined mode? Not worth mentioning.

If you're not combining them, the stickers should generally not be affected. The cassette-to-dino & vice versa transformations do not really require the stickered parts to shift in such a way in which they will wear out since the stickers are only applied on one side of the figure.
What I did was study the combination transformation and then trimmed a few of the stickers so that the edges will not be peeled when combining the two. Of course, as mentioned, combined mode is crap and I don't see myself combining them often. lol

These were my very first purchase from KOToys, and I received these last week. To be honest, they did both have issues: Dial was pretty tight, but included the wrong weapons, and Zaur had his left rear leg accidently replaced by another right front leg (which isn't very obvious and doesn't hinder transformation, but looks kind of weird close-up).
I sent an e-mail to KOToys, and they got back to me pretty quickly, promising me to replace the weapons and Zaur (at no cost). Received a new tracking code a couple of days ago. I was actually very pleasantly surprised by KOToys's customer service, considering their usual customer 'service' reputation.

I'm so meta, even this acronym...

Has anyone else picked these up? Are they worth it?

If you're okay with having KO versions of these guys they're well worth it.

I didn't know they existed until a couple years ago, so being KO doesn't bother me. Plus I don't think I could justify paying for vintage. Hopefully they have worked out all the quality issues at this point.
I'm tempted to pick up the Beastbox and Squalktalk they have for sale too. I have the vintage figures, but need their weapons, and this seems like the cheapest way to get them.

I finally got a Dial and Zaur. One of Dial's front legs is really loose. Does anyone know how I can tighten it? Is there any tool I could buy online to clamp down the metal rivet more? Thanks.
