I'm new to collecting Transformer figures. I've already become a bit of a stickler for size comparison. I was wondering if someone could tell me for instance, would I need to buy a leader class Optimus to be in scale with a voyager Ratchet or Ironhide? Or is the voyager Optimus already built to scale?

and it all depends on who you display your transformers with. a lot of combos

I'd say leader Ironhide is best with voyager Ratchet
Voyager Ironhide would probably be a little big honestly scale wise with deluxe ratchet.
Leader Optimus prime probably with voyager Ironhide.

ahhh....so many possibilities......

I found this list. It isn't the clearest thing but doesn't look to bad actually. Shows Ratchet is a bit smaller then Ironhide and the others.

IronHide's vehicle mode is surprisingly large, I'd say leader OP and IronHide, and Voyager Ratchet.

There's one I found, not sure which toys those are under thoug, but they're irrelevant anywas since I think they're all Movie 1...

Those are Transformers RPM's. They don't transform, only have a picture of the robot on the bottom.

This is currently what I'm doing as well. But, until I found Leader Ironhide, I used Leader OP, Voyager movie 1 Ironhide, Voyager Ratchet, and Deluxe BB. I think that scale works fine as well.

In some scenes Ironhide looks 2/3 Optimus' height, Ratchet looks taller, and Sideswipe looks as tall. If you're going to display Ironhide with Optimus, get leader Prime and voyager Ironhide or voyager Prime (preferably battleblades) and deluxe Ironhide.
