I almost missed out on Cloudcover and yes indeed, he looks pretty damn boss.
Now, if only I can have Sideswipe for retail price...

It's awesome for those that wanted Cloudcover and found one. The lightning struck twise for me as I return to the store that I got Toxitron and Mirage at and I found me a Cloudcover....ahhhh yeah!

I did a little rearranging of the Transformers section at Walmart this morning.
For whatever reason someone decided to move the G2 Deluxe figures to the regular Legacy pegs and all the Cloudcovers to the Deluxe spot. What kind of monster does that? They're now back where they belong.

I finally have Sideswipe but he got a weird issue. The "missile" of his launcher have a 3MM peg with barely a 5MM nub. So the launcher barely hold it. So in order to not lose anything and to keep the overall looks, I made an adapter.
It work perfectly but I made it longer so that it can at least be removed with pliers if the need arise.

I LOVE his colors!
Now all I miss is G2 Sideswipe (Black and red), Siege NETFLIX Sideswipe and Red Alert, and SG Sideswipe to complete the set.

Boxes of G2 Subline in Legacy were made for Blacklights
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
Here's a fun fact, the boxes of most of the Walmart exclusive G2 toys have a blacklight effect. The deluxes and the voyager have parts of the cover that react to a blacklight, highlighting certain parts of every side of the box. Cloudcover has the most extreme effect. This was confirmed to be intentional from Hasbro. Enjoy the images below.

That's neat and all, but I don't have a black light and I don't keep the boxes anyway. Soooooo.... yeah. But hey, good work on the boxes.

Looks cool, but there is a limit that these boxes can exposed to blacklight?

It's a neat touch, very 90s. Shame they didn't hide some secret messages in there like they did with the Siege boxes.

Some colors react really strongly to black light, as well as some materials being more reactive as well. White paper stands out like a beacon, as well as highlighter markers. But some colors, which you would think would really stand out, seem rather muted instead.
The effect on the Toxitron, AND his box, was a little underwhelming for example. I thought his neon green plastic would be really piercing, but you can't see it well on the figure itself. His weapons, however, really catch black light and reflect it.
The box wasn't nearly as vivid either. I had to bump up the contrast in photoshop a little to see much of anything that really stood out.

No one answered me this so I'll ask again.
Is the 3MM peg on G2 Fruity Sideswipe some running change, or did I land on some defect? Because looking at Velocitron Clampdown, the defect theory seems more likely. That is, if mine is the only one like that.
In case you haven't seen my previous post, I made an adapter for G2 Fruity Sideswipe's missile launcher. I painted that adapter yellow after taking this picture.

It's an intentional retooling as it's documented on TFWiki. For what purpose, I don't know.

This retooling make no freaking sense because without the adapter I made, the missile barely peg in the launcher.

The other end of the launcher you mean?
Yeah, both have the same result. Just breathing on the thing is enough to make it fall off.
So why. What is the point of that design change? I could understand if they included a cool blast effect part that would have linked the missile to the launcher, but they didn't.
Weird.

I'm guessing they already had this version of the missile as part of the mold alongside the common one and just gated it out, but then gated the wrong one for this release. Shouldn't be too hard to get an extra missile since Six-Gun used the same ones and those things were peg warmers so with some patience you could probably find a replacement missile for cheap and just paint it black if need be.

No need for a new missile. I customed myself a nice adapter Using a "5mm screw pole" from a Transformers part, then drilling a 3mm hole across, then cutting it down to a size so that it could be removed with plyers if necessary. Finally, a thick coat of yellow paint to seal the deal.

I'd like to hear the opinions of most except YOU completionists which I'm sure is most of you.

So after getting Legacy Toxitron I'm having thoughts on the previous figure. I'm not a completionist and I don't like the combiner mode from this line. I'm the fan to where in some cases "there can be only one" and the Legacy figure is my choice for full representation. But should I keep the FP figure and for what? Should I just store it away out of sight or part ways with it...?
The FP figure is bulkier and beefier which is a cool factor I feel and I think the combined head is much more proportioned than the other...so my thanks in advance!

Went to one of the bigger Walmarts near me, they had no less than 8 Toxiton, 8 Grimlocks, 9 Cloudcover...
But for the deluxes...only 2 Mirage & 1 Laser Cycle on the shelf. Of course this was after i cleaned up what looked like a warzone. I found a couple of items someone obviously hid (SS86 Brawn, Gamer Series Megatron) Also shockingly, this store had a LOT of RED toys, I haven't seen any of those at retail in almost a year.
Anyways...I thought there might be a chance of there being more deluxes in the back. Of course asking someone to search is pretty much useless at Walmart. They didn't mark any of the pegs with the assortment code for LE G2. They just put them on the shelf
. Two employees I talked to said they could do nothing without the assortment code.
. It must be nice to have an company so large that based on groceries alone, they can afford to have zero quality of customer service.

I still haven't seen any Leaders locally and Walmart.com tells me there are none within 30 miles of me. I've seen two cases of Deluxes on the shelves now, Saturday morning the local store near work had just two Mirages and two Laser Cycles plus five Cloudcovers (pretty sure they haven't been restocked yet). Somebody continues to remove the Deluxe figures from their spot on the shelf and sticking them on the Legacy Deluxe pegs. They also occasionally move Cloudcover to the Legacy Voyager space so they can put more ROTB Beast Mode Bumblebee figures on the shelf. I keep fixing it and they keep putting them back in the wrong spot.

I haven't seen any G2 except for Cloudcover in Walmart here in Canada. But all of my preorders came in this month so maybe it's a blessing in disguise @_@;
Maybe wait a bit to sell Toxitron.
Maybe wait until Toxitron is gone from everywhere and then sell it. If you're not a hoarder and don't want to become one you may as well. If you wait people may want ANY Toxitorn and buy yours out of a name match. I kinda think the new one is better when you take the exclusivity away.

Ok so I've been to a few more Walmarts this week. I don't know if it's because Walmart feels they took a loss on the Velocitron line or what, but the couple employees I spoke to said the line is going on clearance. The pic from a few pages ago is not an exaggeration. So that's it. What they have now is it apparently, at least in the United States. Man Walmart sucks....and Hasbro not caring dosen't help.
