This was the best comment I saw on this article at RT:
lol @ "Unicron would dwarf emotion" BECAUSE EVERYONE SAW TRANSFORMERS FOR THE ACTING, RIGHT?!
Good god, what a terrible human being. Get your head out of Michael Bay's ***, dude.
Ha ha ha, my point exactly.
I think Lorenzo needs to broaden his horizons and get over his giant character phobia. there have been tons of successful interactions between giant characters and or props which have left more then enough room for the "puny humans". The whole finale of Star Wars (The first first first one) was a showdown on the Deathstar. Independence Day was full of city sized foes including the showdown in the Mother Ship. Hell even 2009 Star Trek had a great showdown with the Mining Planet Destroying Ship. I think this could work out in the formula of Unicron being the Autobots take the fight to Unicron whilst riding Omega Supreme. As for disconnecting the Human aspect of the film...I find it funny this is really an issue being ROTF was nothing but hot chicks, explosions, and Robots. God forbid we threaten the human characterization of this formula right?
I also think if your going to feature small characters, yet shy away from big ones....pick something with a little more punch then the Mini-cons. I mean you have the Insecticons to still touch up on. Or any number of Soundaves minons be it Laserbeak or Rumble.
Also, two main characters I would love to see are the Dinobots and Triplechangers. Astrotrain for one would be awesome! And being if Unicron is involved in the third film....Astrotrain would be a must.
If Bay does finally take the helm of TF3, I predict we'll see something along the lines of Armageddon meets Transformers. In which case I hope they get Bruce Willis!
However from this Interview, I can see that Paramount is already in talks about TF3, and they don't seem like they're going to wait on their hands for Bay to finally antie up. For all his high explosive gusto, he doesn't seem to have the endurance to carry on this franchise. Peter Jackson strangley does, being he made all three films of the LOTR series at once while shooting out of order (Meaning he short scenes for ROTK one week, and then Fellowship another...guys a genius) and each film alone is twice as long. Hell he even shot more footage which we didn't even see till they came out with the extended cuts. George Lucas is another example, being the Star Wars legacy is no small feat in terms of CGI and creating entire worlds! Then blowing those worlds up!!!!!
I say bring on new blood. Mostly because I would like to see another interpretation of this series personally.
