Well I tried to post a response earlier via 3G on my phone. Looks like it didn't go through. I've been tied up doing "stupid things" like hooking up the washer and dryer and working with the ole ISP to get interwebz and my home network up.

About to start the unboxing project. It will probably be a few days, but will post some humble pics when I get a chance.

Ok, I have been to two kmarts in the metro area and have found all of the CW legends. Elmwood and the Kenner one near chuck e cheese.

But the real question is; did you eat at the chuck e cheese?

Nah, it was too early to grab a salad from there. I have stopped by the one on the westbank before for lunch before though.

I'm probably the worst parent in the world, but I avoid that place at all costs. There's a mom on the Baton Rouge mom's group who let her child go there with Hoof and Mouth Disease! Hmmm.. wait... maybe I'm the best parent in the world...

I prefer the celebration station because of the mini golf. Never eaten anything there. Maybe not a fair comparison...

Wait, Celebration Station is still open? I thought they shut it down because some kid drowned in the bumper boat ride a few years back. Last I remember, it got turned into a preschool or something.

But I guess I'm sort of out the loop with kid's entertainment places. My daughter's only 11 months old, so I don't think she'd be too interested in Chuck E. Cheese or Celebration Station. Last time I went to Celebration station was right after Katrina on a date with a girl and her little brother who forced himself to tag along...

Word up, it's still open. They just upgraded their mini golf not that long ago. They have dinos now on the beginners course. The little house and the light house still eat golf balls though :-x

I didn't know they had bumper boats, maybe that was Blue Bayou? :-?

The bumper boats were only at the Kenner location, BTR never had them. The Kenner branch closed and was re-purposed as a daycare, only without minigolf or bumper boats.

Dood, that's it - million dollar idea! Adult daycare with bumper boats and minigolf. Sign me up! Wait scratch that - only if they also serve scotch.

Quick update, it seems most of BTR is barren as far as CW stuff is concerned. WM on College and Millerville Target both have RID deluxes and quick change figures.

CW Optimus update: I just need to do a black paint wash, accidentally bought enamel instead of acrylic, but all in all I'm quite happy with the results! I honestly have no clue why these parts were included on the grey plastic mold...

Looking good. I saw an alternate leg transformation that looks pretty good. Gives him a long sleek hero proportions look.

I linked there from the tformers.com review of ultra prime, which can be found here.

Well, looks like Arcee and Chromia has made it to BR. Bad news is I nabbed the last Chromia. I spotted 1 Chromia at the WM on Oak Villa.

I checked the WM on College near the interstate (closest WM to my house and I wasn't wasting anymore time driving around) and it was a no go.

Based on what else was stocked and the package, I'm guessing Nightbeat and Windblade are box mmates. Maybe? Can anyone confirm this? I've seen quite a few Nightbeats and Windblades around, so maybe that is a sign I was just too late?

I have seen several Nightbeats around as well, so maybe that did mean that we were too late. The College WM hits very few and far-between, mostly because their entire toy area is reduced to just 2 aisles most of the year. I sometimes have luck with the Brusly walmart just on the other side of the bridge from you.

That college WM was terrible. I did find some last wave deluxes (is deluxes even a word?) mis-pegged near the rescue bots.

I'd like to make a Millerville/O'neal/DS run today. I'll see how my day plays out.

I was at both last night and both were bare, though Millerville had some RID figures. O'neal was still overstuffed with AoE. Of course they may have gotten a truck in.

Where are the TF movie figures selling? How does retail/hasbro or who ever keep justifing the overstock? It has baffled me for years.

Retailers always prefer toylines with a movie backing them, making movie toys a double-edged sword. We've gotten great fan-wank figures like Arcee and Brainstorm, plus awesomeness like Combiner Wars, because for the most part, movie-backed toys sell, and Hasbro can tack on the fan toys alongside them. On the flip side, once the movie is out of theaters, interest in the line typically dies down. Unfortunately, retailers tend to over-order the movie lines and under-order the sublines (Generations/CW in this case).

Well, Chromia is really sweet.

But...

not included WTF.jpg
not included ... WTF?!?

I had to check the gallery here to make sure that I didn't get hosed. You know hasbro, I would have paid the extra 50¢ for it. :ic$:

Anyway, I don't have the deluxe PRID Arcee which the mold is based on, so this was a new experience for me. The little "move waist up / auto head suck in" had me stumped for a while. I felt the transformation was quite clean both ways, even compared to the first edition.

I finally got into my legends CW stuff. Loving the new instructions for the CW line. I especially like the "snap" sound symbol. How fun!

Well according to BBTS the Arcee/Chromia box break down is:

2 Arcee
2 Chromia
1 Wazzpinator
1 Scoop
1 Nightbeat
1 Windblade

And dang it, if I haven't been seeing a lot of all of those, except the ones i want.
