I can see a lot of poyential here...not G2 colors though...it would remind me too much of Unicron trilogy where many characters changed color every series. Megatron to Galvatron should be more than just a new paint job. Sure they always said he was "stronger" but I never cared for it.
I'd be blown away by an appearance by Predaking, Abominus, or Piranacon since they have yet to show up in any current fiction.

I'd doubt an appearance by any combiner not currently available as a Combiner Wars toy. Unless they're promoting a second Combiner Wars line well in advance.
Though, Predaking did appear in Botcon's Dawn of the Predacus; while Piranhacon/King Neptune appeared in Beast Wars Shattered Glass. Not to mention Abominus being the primary Decepticon combiner in Shattered Glass.

Yeah I was referring to mostly mainstream fiction. those combiners all also appeared in IDW/DDP TF/GI Joe Volume 3 crossover, but I don't count that either.

I watched the trailer for it today and I'm actually looking forward to it, but it seems like the continuity is different from the IDW G1 Comics around the time? I mean Optimus is fighting Megatron, but that's definitely different in the comics. Still interesting though.

It's basically a new continuity inspired by the idea of combiners fighting. Previous plot summaries have told us it's set "after the war", with many details that just don't align with IDW's version of events.

They always do. Look at combiner wars, the bio is set in a different continuity than the G1 show or G1 comic or IDW comic. Everythign is always based on the known characters with different things changed to fit the plot, medium or whims of the marketting or production teams. This is a toy brand, all continuity is superfluous at its core (though rather enjoyable of course, helping the brand stay current).

Thought so. Thanks! It works out that it's a micro-continuity now. It beats having to read the comics to understand the cartoon basically, but I can see where it would be helpful to do that. Honestly that is how I view the War of/Fall of Cybertron games in compared to something like the novels and even the Prime and RiD (2015) cartoons.
