Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know that Macross lovers hate Robotech, they ripped off the story and made it into the Robotech story part 1.

However, to get any enemy fighters for the Macross figs, you have to get into Robotech.

So I just blend the lines. I have Yamato 1/60 figs and battles them against Robotech battle pods and what not.

So with that said....Robotech have Veritech fighters and Macross has, oh, oh, not the thumbs.........

Ah yes, I had forgotten about the pulling the hands out bit. Been a while since I had mine unfortunately. However, I do remember out of the three I had, none of them had any problems standing. I had them pulling off some crazy poses too with no problems what-so-ever.

And I never said they were better than the Toynamis. I've never owned a Toynami so I wouldn't know. I merely said the second best I've ever had was the Banpresto. I never said they were the be-all and end-all of Valkyries. I merely preferred them over anything else I've had, with the exception of my 1/48.

that part was actually meant for Themuffin dude, he said he felt burned on the Toynami 1/100`s hence why I said the things I did.now I`m not trying to convert him or anything, I`m merely saying that things he has an issue with on things other then a good old Chunkymunky(a petname for the Takatoku/Bandai mold that spawned G1 Jetfire)are either particular model issues or flaws that were tended to by the manufacturer.sorry if it seemed I was attacking you. :)

And therein lies the problem. Again with the new waves being fixed versions of the first waves. I've had this discussion with you before. Why the Hell do Toynami and Yamato need to be berated and assaulted with emails before they decide to re-release a figure that doesn't fall over or have glaring production errors? Why can't they just use some better QC so people don't feel so burned? If they would just do something like that and gain back my trust, I might consider dropping down good money on their figures.

actually, Yamato HAS improved QC. their latest new mold, the SV-51, has only a minor issue, the tolerance on the wings being slightly off that they won`t stay straight with a heavy load, hardly a glaring breakage problems from previous valkyries.

Actually I have the first run of Masterpiece Valkyries from Toynami in the Robotech Books, and they are exceptionally brilliant and quality crafted.. I have had no issues what so ever with any of the ones I own.. the LED light s work fine, the joints are stable, no breakage anywhere.. I think that maybe they just had a bad run somewhere down the line in their release.. I have mine numbered, so I'll get which number section of that run was good by that.. I don't recall if it was a higher production number or lower.. but I'll look them up.. Overall I'm pretty pleased with them.. and I would venture to even say thy are better then what I have ever bought from Yamato....in the past that is..

Depends on how important nostalgia is to you. For the G1 Jetfire it is nice but not as nice as the Macross Strike Set or the GBP armored set IMO. However unlike other people I would not recommend going after the 1/55 scale Macross Ostrich or 1/55 scale Elintseeker these are very expensive even loose and often more expensive than even a loose Fortress Maximus.

As for the 1/60 scale not a huge fan of it which is why I don't have any and likewise with the 1/72 scale. Currently have a bunch of the 1/48s which are awesome. I do have extras I am willing to trade or sell so if interested pm.

The Banpresto Macross rob_charb mentioned is a nice fig I have one too and probably will put it up on Tfieds soon enough if someone is interested.

Overall I prefer the Macross like for the awesome valkryies but to each their own.

I recently plunked down a hundred and fifty big ones for a Yamato 1/48 VF-1S in Hikaru Ichijo colors. Being a huge fan of Macross and Transformers… and only being able to afford one figure at the moment, this is the ideal figure for me to get. His colors are close enough to Jetfire to pass for a Masterpiece TF - and he's my Favorite VF from the Macross DYRL. I’m debating whether or not to stick a few Autobot reprolabels on him

Forget the 1/55 scale G1 Jetfire, it is nice but the 1/55s by Yamato are much better. PM for details, these are the best of the best! :P

Weapon: Road Blade
:D :D When it comes to durability and stability, Bandai 1/55 is by far way superior than the Yamato 1/48 or 1/60. That's the one thing I like about the 1/55 Bandai Valkyries.

On the other hands, if you want articulation, great design, and aesthetic, then the Yamato out class the Bandai 1/55 by miles and miles.

Anyhow, I like both of them. The Bandai is great for playing and nostalgia while the Yamato is great for displaying and challenging in term of transformation.
