chuckdawg1999 wrote:I'm a huge fan of Robotech/Macross. Somewhere on here is a rather large thread that got closed a few years ago that has a ton of pics from mine and a few others collections. I've had to scale back considerably on my Valkyrie buying due to cost and space but I will be getting one of those 1/100 Hi-Metal figures. BBTS was forced by Harmony Gold to drop any non Toynami Macross toys due to copyright issues, and that Bandai's and Yamamoto's figures were out selling anything Toynami put out.

I almost broke down a year or so ago to buy the Miria VF-22 from Macross Seven, but alas I didn't because I promised the wife I wouldn't get back into Macross.
Air Commander Starscream wrote:Yea I had several opportunities to purchase one of her Quead's, but for some reason I never pulled the trigger on it. Nothing beats that 1/48th Super VF-1J, I am also kicking myself for never getting the new 1/60th version when they came out with it. I have the older 2002ish 1/60th version but it is just not the same......

I was lucky enough to get mine for 32.00 bucks USD. At that price, it's a great toy.
I'm dying to get my hands on the Yamato V2 1J Millia, but they are pretty hard to find now a days.I'm tempted to go for the 1/48, but I'm a stickler for scale and like to have all my 'ducks in a row'.

Which one?I have 5 different ones. Miria was always my fav character, it might have to do with red being my fav color but it also might have to do with her being hot.

Pretty good dude! I have been on kind of a big hiatus since really Oct 2008. My fiance and I ended up moving back to Albuquerque from Seattle in 2009. We bought a house last June and also got married in October. Going to Botcon 2011 kind of "resparked" Transformers and the forums for me, and so here I am! Other than that just doing a ton of work, how about yourself?
Air Commander Starscream wrote:For the new Macross Frontier figures by Bandai, I stayed away from them because I didn't know how they were going to size up with the rest of the Yamato stuff I had.

I have one VF-25R, and a VF-27. Scale wise they are un-officially 1/60th. They look right at home with the Yamato 1/60s. Bandai will be re-releasing their VF-25s in the fall with all the improvements from the 27, and 29 toys. I might have to pick up an Ozma Lee VF-25S armor version!

So are those the regular releases or the VF100's? I believe the VF100's are 1/100 scale and fit in with the Toynami's stuff?

I have the regular released Chogokin DX ones.
Air Commander Starscream wrote:Yea I hear you have to remove a lot of parts between transformations, it kind of seems like whats the point of that? Especially for the asking price on them.
So what is everyone's fav Valk type? I still have to say the YF/VF-19 is my favorite.

Do you remember mine? Here's a hint there's a group shot in the old thread. Can we reopen it?

Jesterhead wrote:Well I bit the bullet and ordered the SC Maia Alpha. I'll post my feelings (and hopefully not disappointment) on it when I ship my POL. I'm pretty nervous to see the QC on it![]()
