I'm happy with my choice. Thanks for the boxset confirmation, MT!

I was wrong earlier about who the mystery prototype is, I agree that it looks more like the Fallen.

As for the Scavengers, I prefer a the blocky voyager sized one over the skinny scout sized one. Plus, when they are combined TFC's Devastator will be massive and tower over the rest of the classics toys (which he should because he is a gestalt) but the MT version will only be as tall as the Energon/Superlink combiners which are about as tall as a leader class toy. I do think that the MT version looks great, but I prefer larger gestalt toys (I know G1 gestalts were not that tall, but I wished they were). :CON:

Congratulations, MakeToy, I bet it's been tougher than you expected, but you're on the verge of something well deserved and a long time in the making. Well done, and I look forward to being a long time fan. This is a hell of a thing you're doing for the fandom. I'm "blessed" to have the means to support your style of transforming action figures.

Wow, good eye indeed! I couldn't have spotted it myself. That thing looks pretty sweet.

As for the pricing, it's not too bad, but it could be better. I would've much preferred individual releases to break it down into more affordable chunks.

Unfortunately, yellow=no buy, but if they intend on repainting it later I may still be on board. Putting it off is better for me financially anyway.

I have really NO CLUE why everybody on here is so anal about the size of TFC Hercules being too large a scale and the MT version being correct. You are ALL WRONG! First using the classics scheme the TFC toys should actually BE LARGER!!! If going by construction vehicles to the cars used on the classics molds. Not to mention ALL the classics jets are entirely too small.

2nd The Energon merge groups are outrageously too small compared to the classics, etc. Why on earth anyone would want merge groups that are too small to begin with is insane. Even ALL the G1 merge groups were grossly undersized toys with the exception of Predaking which was actually too large, lmao.

Also MT coming out with a yellow version 1st is suicide. There are not too many hard core collectors going to shovel out a truck load of money on a G2 version of it, Its insane. And just bad timing that Hercules pieces are coming out first. And after receiving Exgraver and it actually being quite good. I am more then content in buying the rest of them. Too bad the price is still ridiculous though.

OoooOOOO!!!! The eagle-eyed El Duque strikes again! I think you might be on to something there. It is an excellently sized figure and I hope it is indeed The Fallen. Easily more excited by this than their other projects.

Hover & Bomber: not all that expensive unless you're comparing them to iGear's minibots. Bomber still looks pretty crap aesthetically, and Hover just isn't good enough to warrent going for this two pack over iGear's $15 Spray. EASY PASS.

Tank: seems to be getting more expensive with each new day. I thought $100 was hard to swallow. Depending on how cheaply I can get a RTS/United G2 Prime I'll most likely get this as it's certainly a nice piece, although I do agree with what someone said on the earlier thread about removing the light gimmick and chroming the trailer up instead. I'd be happier paying for that.

Giant: can't imagine anyone saying that this is cheaper than they were expecting. I get why folk are disappointed that it's going to be yellow, but that actually makes it more attractive to me as it would certainly help differentiate it from Hercules. Plus it looks like it's going to be bigger than I thought it'd be: that group shot makes each unit look roughly small deluxe size. Originally thought I'd get this, but with money getting tighter my wallet can only accomodate one Devastator and as I'm already a third of the way through Hercules I think it's going to have to be him. A REGRETFUL PASS.

It's nice to finally have some release dates on this lot, but MakeToys are asking for a lot of money very early on.

Quite simply: They're not.

Make Toys is selling them as 3 2-packs for a total cost of ~$410 USD for a complete set.

TFC is selling 6 individual figures for $98 USD each, which is $588 USD complete.

That's a HUGE price difference.

As for them being yellow, I could care less, I only ever owned 2 of the Constructicons and they were the G2 Yellow. As long as the figure looks good and is a good quality, I'll buy it, especially since the MT version scales s well with the FP upgraded Bruticus.

Why yellow, why not orange and purple???? :)

I may get this set too, but I am not feeling the Scavenger robot mode AT ALL. TFC's is much better.

Comment about back kibble on TFC Scavenger: The shovel is actually removable. It can be held put on the back, or put on the arm, I believe.

One thing about MTs Devastator that bugs me. The forearms are tiny compared to the rest of the pieces. Not sure it's a deal breaker, but I'm going to need some better pictures to help me decide.

I'm getting this one but I want to see what color yellow they use. Something like THIS is different from THIS or THIS. While THIS would be preferred, it's not a deal breaker. I wouldn't mind if I had to paint it or dye it a little. Or, ya know, just deal with it. >:oP

The price has me a bit stopped, but I think I could swing it (especially if I sell my Classics Devastator!)

But look at the details from the image of The Fallen...it's spot-on. Almost all of it matches up. It can't be Nova Prime, it doesn't even have wings or wheels:

Image

Unless you're thinking of Bayverse Fallen which is completely different. But it matches Dreamwave's The Fallen perfectly.

Great catch on that being The Fallen. Definitely fits. Wonder what he turns into?

MT Devy seems a bit pricier than I'd been hoping for. Can't put my maths brain in gear to figure out the pounds they'll cost, and will have to see how yellow the yellow is y'know? But still...maybe.

Lil Dudes? Nah, look okay and all, but I have not the money, not huge amounts of inclination.

Prime/Tanks is Bad Arse, but Shelfwarmimus Prime vanished from anywhere I'd be likely to get one from as soon as the add-on was announced. I'm pretty sure Hasbro will start begging 3rd party companies to make add-ons for the half-ton or so of Movie Bees currently clogging aisles around here.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Already having Exgraver....yes, it's better in hand than I thought and well made, but I still suffer buyers remorse over the stupid price and while I can only base it on that one proto shot he does NOT in any way look better than the MT Scav. The Diaper Block bothers me and most of the proportions are off compared to that fairly sleek looking comparitor.

If HeavyLabor bugs me as much it'll be MT from this fall onwards.

but what really matters to me is how they look combined in devastator mode...and i will have to give the nod to tfc. bigger and badder. plus green>yellow

My, Laser Prime turned out much better than expected. The trailer mode, in and of itself, is a suave as suave can be. And the base mode holds verisimilitude to the original. Also loving the BFRL mode. This one's a definite.

Skipping the Minibots, they're OK, but I'm content with my Has/Tak Universe/HFTD versions. They looked better in prototype.

Still on the fence over Giant. The protos look nice, the vehicle modes and combined form are more G1 accurate, and the price is more reasonable than Hercules. I'll wait for final pics.

(Although yellow might be very suitable for my growing G2 Classics display... :-? )

The way it has been spelled out to me is that Hercules will only be 2" taller. Kinda disappointing in my opinion. I still like both though.

I like that Giant's forearms turn into trailers instead of just being kibble sitting around. It also appears he uses magnets to attach them.

i REALLY hope its not magnets, unless they're rare earth magnets. major parts attached by magnets is never going to end well, just ask Kotetsu Jeeg.

the generator trailer mode for the forearms is cute, which is appealing, but at the same time totally inappropriate for devastator. if i get him those will probably be always attached as forearms or just set aside.

as far as color goes, some could argue that THIS is yellow, so we will see. i have exgraver but im a little disappointed that hes so green...
