And a faux arm connector on Scavenger. I would say both versions are about equal as far as this aspect is concerned. Maybe Herc more so..

They look too small to me in both modes. How many times have you seen a dump truck or any of the alt modes used to make Giant the same size as a car driving down the road? Hercules is actually a lot more accuarate in terms of scale in my opinion. People have complained about quality on Hercules but mine have been fine. In Robot mode, they stand just a litte over the deluxe sized it is true but not much. To be fair, if it were a reality with no mass shifting, the Constructicons would have been larger than most of the Decepticons.
Incorporating the combiner parts as trailors just looks wrong to me (as it did on G1 Devy). Also, Giant makes no attempt to hide the combiner head attached to Hook, its sitting out right next to the cab. His own head can clearly be seen at the back too. I haven't seen many cranes with a large robot head attached to it.

Hercules:
Longhaul looks too Movieverse for my liking but could be good for a kitbash into the Fallen. At first glance my first thought was Stockade:
So, yeah, I'm not regretting going with Hercules as my 3rd Party Devestator. If the cost of Giant isn't too high, I might consider getting one to repaint ala Shattered Glass though.

Finally! I've been saying that about the size of Hercules since it came out. Construction vehicles are huge so the Constructicons should be huge. If you want a puny Devastator, here it is for you. If you want a Great Devastator, Hercules is the way to go.

Giant is hardly going to be puny-about and 1 or 2 shorter than Herc overall.

Really?
Maketoys even captured the shoulder connector from the G1 toy although it is probably not functional. The scoop on the arm is about the only thing that differs from the original. Exgraver resembles Scavenger with a similar cartoon head sculpt, track legs (which Maketoys also has) and a scoop arm on his back. That's it. Personally, I think the bot modes (excluding Long Haul) for giant arm way more similar to the originals.
Baneblade wrote:my point was the ratchet joint that a few people were talking about, and yes i applaud them for fixing the issue - i applaud all of them for that, but if its an integral part to the figurine (whether combined or individual) and it requires disassembly to fix it, then i would rather have a replacement figure with the new part already installed.
call me an elitist in that regard, but its how i view things...
i also am kinda impartial when it comes to multiple products of the same type or offer similar things - i've always been that way - plus i just have a hard time in figuring out why one thing would be inferior over another of the same type

It said on their page. Reference price 10,500 yen for the set of two. Then you calculate.
My question is what makes people so sure there will be the lime green repaint? They made it yellow to be differentiated from Herc, didn't they? Do we have any official word from Maketoy? Maybe I missed it somewhere.

G2 Dev will be released in two packs with extra accessories.
G1 Dev will be released as a set all at once.

I wonder what kind of accessories they'll include with Constructicons?
