I was a bit surprised at the lack of packing materials for this item. I don't care about a fancy box, but at least make sure the merchandise is safe. $20 was a lot for "shipping". Thankfully, my figure made it through fine. Also interesting that instructions were not packed in. I guess MakeToy is relying on the age of the Internet to provide us guidance via video reviews or fansites?

I'm less concerned about how Ripper shipped than the rifles that were missing with mine.

Still working on it. Took a few days, but they responded to me and are looking into getting replacements.

Well our (my) national nightmare is over! Was able to get my two rifles when Ripper unexpectedly showed up at TFcon Chicago this past weekend. Woo!

If you were contemplating this beforehand, I highly recommend the figure. I LOVE the colors on this guy.

checking out toy dojo just annoys me. i try to keep tabs on all the major web stores (for exclusives and sales) but stopped watching toy dojo because their home page is completely random. preorder, sales, ect, all random. half the stuff featured on the home page is sold out.

At TF Con - $80
Magical restock at multiple e-tailers - $90


These retailers do the same thing as TRU does with MPs and catch absolutely 0 flak. Sheesh.

I would say the MPs have more visibility and wider appeal than this guy... also people like to paint a target on TRU's back.

Not that people should't raise an eyebrow, but there's less of a forum (and awareness and/or willingness) for momentous complaining about it.

I was more upset that it actually cost me a total of $79.90 getting it from the MakeToys site during initial release because shipping was a flat rate of $20. So that's pretty much the same as if one would've have purchased it at TFCon.

$10 mark-up getting an exclusive from a retailer after the initial release is a pretty small price to pay. The pricing at TRU just seems asinine at best, but the idea that a figure's price is seen to fluctuate (upwards) during it's lifetime at the same retailer is what really irks me. The most recent example being the re-release of MP Grimlock: people who were lucky enough to purchase the figure when it first hit certain stores were able to get him for a cheaper price. A few weeks later when he was more readily available, *bam* the price jumps up. Same retailer, no middleman, where did the markup come from? Also, there was roughly a month's time period where you were able to order Ripper from MT and guaranteed that price - no such assurances with TRU.

Hi all, I'm looking at re-arming ripper and Blindfire for display, anyone have any recommendations for weapons that fit in their hands?
So far I have found
Chaos/Paladin's sword halves.
Unique toys War Hawks sword.
Mastermind Zinnia's guns (not sure about the swords, as they didn't come with that version.
