^ That makes alot more sense. Best of luck to them, I just get sick every time characters get overkilled by 3P. I just hope this is the only Metroplex we have to deal with.

I agree. I dislike it too. I'd much rather they work on Defensor or some other un-covered figures.

Hello! Monsterbots!!!

Oooh... Monsterbots! Yes, please.

I completely understand the feeling of overdoing characters. However, it's better to have a choice than one lousy figure.

Ha ha... To be fair, one minor drawback to the large size is that, for where I display my Metroplex, city mode is all but impossible unless I take him down and play with him on the floor!

I had thought that for everyday display, he'd be limited to robot mode. Fortunately, I discovered that the space I had for him would actually accommodate his battle station mode, as well. And as an added bonus, that allows me to use his flight deck as a platform for other figures to give those in the back rows more visibility rather then have them mostly hidden by those in front of them!

Image

As others have said, great display there. :D

And for this... it's still a bit boggling, to be honest. Metroplex is overall a great figure, and it's bigger than this at, what, a quarter the cost? For me, no contest.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I'm kinda interested in this. It would be nice to have a consistent 'city bot' scale across all of them. If they went with a Trypticon on the same scale, I'd be seriously conflicted.

3rd party companies should be making TF toys HasTak had no current interest in making. Trying to compete with HasTak defeats the purpose.

I'm thinking just the opposite. Hasbro's Metroplex is so huge I'm having a hard time finding a place for it. I wish this was about the size of G1 Metroplex. But, alas, if I remember correctly, this should be about the size of YotS Omega Supreme.

Plus, the real reason I want it smaller is cost. If it really is the size of YotS Omega, (or bigger like X would prefer) then it will likely be priced out of my range. I will have to admire it from afar and b happy with my Hasbro Metroplex...

[Edit] And if I would just pull my eyes away from the pretty pictures, it says right in the description that it will be 40 cm, which is just under 16 inches tall. I believe that puts it about the size of YotS Omega, though I'd have to get a ruler out to measure Omega. (This is why I like comparison shots, or even comparison descriptions. I don't always have a ruler or tape measure handy...)

it does look really nice. a great update to G1 Metroplex. not one I plan on getting though. Hasbro's one is bigger, and make pew pew sounds and is a lot cheaper. (probably)
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Still beats HasTak's "robot sitting down with poorly hidden hands" any day, and at least the top half actually tries to look like a city.
