I hope this is another nail in the coffin of this retarded adaption of Transformers. I'm sick of you fans who just take all this spoon-fed like Generation One means nothing now. Who are you people who keep buying Star Wars Transformers anyway? I bet the same dudes who will buy anything that says "Transformers" on it. I know I'm sounding ignorant at the moment and probably a few people would like to kill me for my comments but come on, the more non-transforming junk you buy the more you are helping crap on Transformers. Why am I so irritated at this, well go back into time and figure out what was under a freaking tarp at Comic Con I believe when the movie was announced. Generation One Optimus freakin' Prime.

Yes, because that totally has something to do with Ironhide's voice actor.

Someone needs to take chill pills matey. Why get so angry? Because it doesn't conform to your ideals doesn't mean others can't or wont enjoy it. Also how could this be another nail in the coffin? He's a voice actor, and as far as I can tell (I could be wrong tho), Transformers has always had voice actors. As for G1, get over it. It's still alive, they just haven't made a straight adaptation.
Try not to be so negative about life, you never know, you may be surprised by something.
BTW, you may wanna correct you sig, it should be peace not piece [/grammer nazi]

Hey, we're not all lower class ruffians.
I don't know who this chap is, but I wish him the best and hope that he doesn't get ripped apart by, well, us.

I love the idea of a Yorkshire Ironhide. "Ey oop Prime! Shall we go down t' mine to look for t' 'Cepticons?" I suspect however (if he is indeed voicing Ironhide) he'll put on an accent. You know- other than 'TV Yorkshireman'.
Fireblast, did you post that in the right thread? It seems kinda out of context. And... in the Toys'r'us I work at, kids buy Star Wars TFs. They like them. They sell at about the same rate as Cybertron and Classics put together.
So... as others have suggested, cheer up. There's a new series coming out in the autumn, isn't there? Maybe you'll like that? It's got Spongebob Squarepants in it.

To just take this stereotype further, I'd love to hear Ironhide say, "Flatcaps and whippets!"
Apologies to all people from Yorkshire.

I know, I went off context but if you read between the lines you'll know what I'm saying. No disrespect to the actor but I hope he adds enough to help make this movie get buried into the ground. But still, you tell me what's good about Transformers at this moment. By the way, what makes you think I would care about some retarded laughing sponge?Kayevcee wrote:I love the idea of a Yorkshire Ironhide. "Ey oop Prime! He just better use the souther texan accent like Ironhide in G1. That made the character who he is. If they want to call him Ironhide he better sound like Ironhide. Otherwise hes Trailbreaker.

If you don't like Transformers why not leave people that do alone, go and watch some Thundercats, I heard that's not had any changes at all in the last 20 years.
As for someone from Doncaster sounding prissy? Hmmm, there's lots of ways to describe their accent, prissy isn't one of them. I suppose a tough Brit accent would be considered from London's East End such as Jason Statham but myself, I prefer Ray Winston. Also, watch Dog Soldiers for some different types of realistic tough guy Brit accents. Great film too.
Besides, everyone knows us brits can have you yanks in a fight:P
Back on topic, I imagine he'll be doing a southern (US) accent in the style of the original anyway with maybe a slight change. He kinda looks like a human version of Ironhide tooo !!!

Oh ok by readingn his IMDB entry he doesn't sound too bad. At least the Brits will give it some class. There always been Brits involved in TF E.G Simon Furman.
