"Out of stock" doesn't mean "Gone forever". MP Soundwave went "Out of Stock" multiple times before I got mine.

reluctantyouth wrote:Got me some new Grimlock plastic crack on the way! Purchased at 7:39 am Central time. I'm majorly bummed about the price increase. The same thing happened when TRU bumped the price of Prime from $99.99 to $119.99. I only found the first Grimlock release in my TRU once and he was $79.99 then as well. The best I can hope for is getting this one and hoping down the line there is a BOGO 50% sale and my TRU actually has Grimlocks at that point. Now at least I will be able to open this one and display it as I never got to open my first release. We all know the boxes coming from TRU shipping will be badly damaged in transit anyway. I hope you all get one!!

UPDATE 7:54 am Central Time
PS- Holy crap I tried "transformers", "transformers all", "masterpiece", "transformers masterpiece", "grimlock", and "transformers masterpiece grimlock" and NONE of those brought the product up from website search page. MAJOR KUDOS!!! to the member that found this. No wonder they are still available on the site right now!
UPDATE 11:12 am Central Time
I did some digging around online and some site called slickdeals.net had a post about 20% code for toysrus.com and that Grimlock did not apply (I'm purposefully not posting the unrecognized code here so don't hate me ). I called TRU Customer Service as to the validity of code. They told me that no code existed. I also let rep know that Grimlock was not visible on site with regular search. She spent about 10 min on the phone with me and for my time said she would go ahead and authorize a 20% discount once I got confirmation email that Grimlock has shipped. She just told me to call back with the confirmation reference number. That 10 min saved me $15.99. Total cost of my Grimlock will be around $69.00 tax included and I'm very happy with that!!

K2vox wrote:why does Hasbro not put more of this product AT LEAST ON THE WEBSITE? let alone in the stores? These Masterpiece toys are a hot product. If they push them up 20 bucks online THAT'S FINE, it's the economic cost of not having to drive to try and find one and I'm ok with that, as well as the 1 limit per customer. I am not, however, cool with people scalping them and Hasbro not making enough for demand. Out of stock, out of luck, out of hope for this company. They've been starting to do better this year, but they still suck where the Masterpiece line is concerned.
and are Grimlock's teeth still rounded at the tips on this US release?

They send MP's out with NO, NO protection at all, just loose moving around in a box getting banged up and most of the time will look like your dog got it.
I know many don't care about the box, but if and when you ever re-sale him, you get the most money when it looks as nice as it could. This is always the case. I will just try to fine one myself and get the best looking on they have at the time. It can be found if you live near a Toys R Us, you just have to work for it and stay on top of deliveries.
Lego.com sucks also, if your buying the Ghostbusters set coming out soon, they do not use any packing like bubble wrap or paper, just stick your high priced collectors items in a box and send them on... I put a note in email when I bought, but they don't read them it seems. Oh well!

11 years and 11 posts. You broke your quota of one post a year. Or is that 0 post for certain years?
Oh and on topic, for those who wanted to wait to see them on shelves and wait for price drops or shelf warming, are you bleeping insane? You grab the online deal first (while it lasted) then you try other strategies for discounts. You can always return your online purchase at a local store.
