I hope it's not as bad as MP Prime.

(Though that one was probably a misinterpretation, there is a red Starscream (Toshiba) after all, and Megatron and Optimus were rereleased at the same time as complete versions, just in the Revoltech line.)
I find it a bit weird, that a Chinese site posts something looking like an excerpt from a Japanese magazine, without giving the source or us having seen further pictures from that magazine (some people are bound to have what ever magazine that's supposed to be).
The text next to the picture doesn't mention Transformers even once, it goes on and on about Gundam.
I for my part will wait for something a bit more official.

As bad as??? What MP Prime did you buy?
I don't know a single TF, or even TOY collector who would not put MP Prime at the top of any list of toys all time. You can't make statements like that without substantiation.
So lets hear it. What issue could you possibly have with MP Prime?

son.
He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

Nah, they always do *new mold* -> *repaint* -> *new mold* -> *repaint*.
I would be less than surprised if the next one after Grim was TC though (and I'd grab that bugger there n then, which would result in me having more versions of the MP seeker (4) than I have of ANY other mold, even some minicons).
As for the actual point of this thread. Damn shame. G1 Grim's tranformation was virtully spot on already, all he needed was a little extra articulation. I dont see how they will give him a suitably complex transformation for a masterpice figure.
I was hoping for a Rodimus Prime, he'd provide some real fun and ingenious transformation.

Well, the biggest issue is the truck. If i can call it that. The parts don't fit together. The proportions are all wrong. It doesn't look close to a real truck at all.
While the robot is - needless to say - awesome; but without a decent truck to transform into, it just doesn't make sense to me.
What makes Transformers really cool is the magic of transforming into a realistic vehicle. The challenge of fitting the whole robot into a decent vehicular form.
Now, it's ok if this cannot be satisfactorily achieved in minute-sized toys. But for a gigantic Masterpiece set... oh, come on! You must be kidding with that kind of an awfully disfigured truck!
