We have some big news regarding upcoming Masterpiece figures!

All of the details are not final, and will be finalized mid-June, but our source says these prices are accurate. Also Masterpiece Red Alert and Soundwave are both scheduled for a December release, just in time for the holidays!

Keep in mind, all of the above is subject to change. As such there is no penalty for customers to preorder, or cancel. If the items aren’t released/are canceled, you don’t like the final product, or the price goes up and you’re not happy, we will cancel any preorders without any questions asked. So there is no risk to preorder at TFsource! Simply email us and we will cancel your order. Additionally if the final Japanese retail drops, we’ll drop the price on your preorder as well.

Finally for those customers that already preordered MP-12 Masterpiece Sideswipe, we will be adjusting your merchandise total. Please be patient, we will adjust the prices on everyone’s orders/stacks next week so that you get the lower price!

For those who are curious on the retail of Masterpiece Soundwave and why it’s higher, we’re not sure. Except based on the listing says it’s a different packaging size… more will be revealed on this in a couple of weeks.

Alert makes sense. As does Soundwave being dearer. He'll likely be bigger, and even if he's not, I'd expect him to come with at least one tape, so the price would be higher.

Preorders are in! Soundwave will be more expensive hopefully due to two reasons.

1- Size. Heres hoping he stands a bit closer to MP10

2- cassettes! Please give me a masterpiece Ravage and Laserbeak!

Not really surprised, but I'm glad Soundwave is actually coming out soon. I hope he would come with Rumble, Ravage and Laserbeak at least.

I know they're doing that for Generations, but they'll do the same for the MP? lol Whatever works, I suppose.

If they got Red Alert, I would think they can get MP Breakdown. Even if he's just 1 part of a team. That would warrant MP Motormaster at least. The MP-10 mold with minor modifications would be good for that.

Well, you may as well do repaints for Tigertracks, Clampdown, and Deep Cover while you're at it. But I'm fired up that more Autobots are making it to the Masterpiece line.

Yeah, when ehobby comes along, a Deep Cover repaint would be obvious. :lol:

I kinda want it to be G2 coloured instead of Deep Cover. I dig the white, red and neon green on black.

Sunstreaker don't look anything like Sideswipe!

It just won't work.

Sunstreaker NEEDS his own mold... the MP line is too G1-accurate for him not to.

Sunstreaker NEEDS his own mold... the MP line is too G1-accurate for him not to.

The *toy* doesn't look quite like Sideswipe, but the character model form the cartoon is MUCH closer to Sideswipes. This is the character model (mostly) kept in mind for the Classics/Universe 2.0 Sunstreaker. The only really noticeable difference in that mold is the lack of shoulder-spike-things. So realistically, it should only take a retooling, not a completely new mold.
