But this weekend I got to spend Friday, Saturday and today doing some work on my project.
Got a ton of stuff done...I finished painting the mountain, got everything test fit (photos) then glued the Ark into the bottom half of the mountain. The top portion will be removable so it can be ported more easily. I am using some dowel rods to peg the top and bottom together, hopefully it's not to gappy we'll see after the glue dries and I can peg it in...
I also finished up the repair bed. I want to put some more detail on but it's painted, stickered and lit up.

Well I got some time to continue working this evening, and it is pretty much done (about 90%ish) and I couldn't resist taking a few pics with the Autobots milling around their new home

Can't really see the lines that were scribed onto it coz the lighting and the camera suck. Hopefully my lighting kit will be here this weekend so I can setup my DSLR and take some decent photos. But I digress...
The post will be an elevated monitor and the control surface will have 2 large "screen" (which will just be the screen stickers from the reprolabels set).
I am also making a little diagnostic computer to go with the repair bed. (pics to follow)
In addition to those two things I test placed some trees for the outside to add some character. Now I have to figure out a way to affix them so that the bases won't be seen....

Don't give up now. You can DO IT!
Hey, for the trees, could you cut of the bases and drill holes in the plywood and just insert them? Maybe a little glue?

I feel like I need someone to throw water on me as I near the finish line LOL. Good to have a cheering section

The bases actually just pop off! So I did just what you said LOL drilled holes to match the pegs of the trees.
Pics to come in a few...

Ha ha well I just thought that was like the sky spy some sort of sensor device for teletraan, but no may later... I just wanted to make workstation(s) to go next to teletraan since thats how it was in the toon, usually...
I do want to make a sky spy and use a clear stage arm to attach to the top of the mountain...pics below.

LOL! Funny you mention it but I already have a few sketches of decepticon base, and since it was underwater and the most frequently seen part of the based was that telescoping tower...I want to make the outside look like that tower.
I am planning on doing a cross section of a cylinder (lengthwise) and making it two levels since it will take up less of a foot print than the Ark diorama...I am just trying to puzzle out how make that draw-bridge door to open and close onto the 2nd level.

Finished up the side computer workstation, and affixed the trees/shrubs to base outside of the mountain.
I have one more computer workstation to go with the repair bed, it's still drying and I have to sticker it up and put some color on the panel lines.

Lovin the extra console.
So are you going to build the Con fort out of VHS tapes?

Yes you suggestion made me look at popping the bases off. If I come into a stash of them I wouldn't mind trying it for the walls.
Not sure where I could get a bunch of them for this project. ...

Not sure about where you live but here in the UK you can find tonnes of old VHS tapes at Charity Shops, usually for about 50p each, that's where I'd start.

Nice repair bay mate, looks sweet. Kinda reminds me of McCoy's sick bay from Star Trek, maybe you could add in this screen:
