What would he have done, say, had he snatched it from Sam on top of the building instead of playing around w/ him? Would he immediately have started zapping Earth cars, planes, electric toothbrushes, etc? Or would he have retreated from the battle to establish a base and create/indoctrinate new Decepticons?

Say he'd grabbed it just before Sam did what he ended up doing with it. Would/could Megatron have healed himself w/ it on the spot first? Would he have resurrected Brawl and Blackout, if the Cube is capable of that?

IMO, Megatron wouldn't give a damn about his dead fellows. He'd just transform into jet mode instantly and blast off. He might've sent out a message along the road, so that Starscream and any other surviving Con could follow him.

Retreating might not be his thing, but it would be the smart thing to do. No Autobot was as fast as Megs and Screamer in full throttle. By pulling back, they'd allow themselves to build a machine TF army within 24 hours and obliterate any resistance. Fooling around, boasting and all, was really stupid =S

I agree, Megatron isn't the fleeing type.

I'm kind of thinking the all spark part that was lodged in his chest is gonna somehow revive him as Galvatron and the dead Cons that got thrown in with him will be revived as well. Who knows, maybe Unicron created the all spark in the movie and when he activates it from afar it will revive the dead cons near it and maybe the shard Prime has will become a matrix of sorts. It could happen.

Megatron would have turned earths machines into evil robots yes.

So my watch will come to life and start shooting little bullets, where does he get more ammo ? and he'd be like the equivalent of a mosquito, a pest yes but not much of a threat.

Personally, I would have liked to see more along the lines of machines with enough size and mass to do some significant damage like cars,planes,military vehicles and not just everything just because it has machinery in it, I wish the allspark was a little more "selective" in a way, choosing certain vehicles with more intelligence behind the decision rather than just what's lying around it, the allspark was after all supposed to represent "a god" at least it was to the transformers and that comes from Michael Bays own admin named Nelson.

This version of megatron certainly did not retreat much unlike his G1 cartoon version who at the first sign of trouble tucked tail and ran.

This megatron was more like a vicious animal after it's prey and even animals like that will toy around with their prey before killing it from time to time.

I thought for lack of a better word the movie megatron was pretty "scary".

Score another point for the shard/matrix theory... That's really gaining popularity....

Now for he real topic...

Megatron would immediately create minions of new Transformers from earth machines, and watch helplessly as thousands of these new mindless creatures, decimate and destroy both Autobots and Decepticons.

Eventually, Megatron will have to flee in regret.
