What do you think is the most powerful weapon?
Megatron's feared fusion cannon or Sentinel's cosmic rust blaster, that will poison a cybertronian to death in seconds, or something else? let me know.

In the movieverse, Sentinel's rust cannon is far more deadly than Megatron's fusion cannons

Megatron shot once at Optimus in TF1. All it did was knock him back a hundred feet, no actual damage.
He did kill Optimus with it in RotF, but that was after slicing into his spark, just shooting wouldn't have killed Prime. He also mortally hit Sam with it, but Sam's a puny fleshling.
He critically wounded Sentinel with it in DotM, but it still took Prime a headshot and a torso hit from point blank to put Sentinel down.

Sentinel's weapon on the other hand was only shot twice in the film and the toughest Autobot of all died as a result. If you take the deleted Twins scene into account, he made three fatal shots and a fourth in Ironhide just to be sure. That's far more deadly with less effort.

I'm agreeing with you, i personally think that Sentinel's blaster is far more superior and cooler, if only Sentinel didn't betrayed.

You kidding? Sentinel's Cosmic Rust gun beats [Movieverse] Megatron's fusion cannon hands down.

Megs' cannon in the first movie was pathetic; "pew-pew" sound and even a direct hit could only knock OP back, doing no real damage at all. The ROTF cannon did a little better, but still could not deal a fatal blow to OP.

DOTM doesn't count, in my opinion, as it's a shotgun, not a fusion cannon.

Sentinel's gun, on the other hand, acts like a poison dart gun. Hitting a bot anywhere in the arm or leg could easily corrode the whole limb into rust. Taking a direct hit like Ironhide is guaranteed to turn a bot into a rusty pile of scrap.

I agree that Sentinel's cannon is more effective, but the only kill he had in the film was Ironhide. And he shot Ironhide 3 times. I wonder, if he had shot him only once, and then ran away, could Ratchet have repaired Ironhide?

I'd definitely go with the Rust Cannon if I had the option.
