Will TFM2 go upward like Spiderman sequal? Or will it go downward like the Matrix sequal?

I don't know. But you gotta respect the man for going forward despite not knowing a darn thing about Transformers when he came in.

Also: Shootouts! Car chases! Usage of the armed forces! Carbomyans!

I've yet to see a person lose with these combined.

Cool new robots and lots of them, thats all that matters for TF2 people.

The script will probably suck regardless of who rights it cuz you can't please everyone anyway.

Great, another half assed Transformers movie, with big explosions and special effects and very little in the way of a plot, and more bad acting from Shia LaDouche and Megan "Airhead" Fox.

Not liking Megan I can understand, but Shia? That dude is awesome. Ever seen Holes? Great movie. Disturbia, another awesome flick. Shia rocks man.

OPTIMUS PRIME rolls majestically into view, followed loyally by his AUTOBOT companions. SAM and MIKAELA stand in awe, seeing their old friends pull up. A brilliant, heartwarming feeling as Sam is reuinited with BUMBLEBEE, who transforms and raises the boy up in his arm. The others transform also and tower over the kids like gentle giants BEFORE EXPLODING AND KILLING EVERYONE. BUILDINGS FALL. CARS CRASH. ALIENS PLUMMET FROM THE SKY AND DESTROY EVERYTHING. ITS MAYHEM! I don't think that is possible because a recent interview with one of the computer animators revealed that the movie bots don't have a realistic transformation. He mentioned that parts fly around during the transformation. This is the main reason why we don't see transformations in full view in the first movie.

I think it is interesting that Hasbro and Takara are already working on the Transformer designs this early for the next movie. In the first movie, the movie designers gave the final bot designs to Hasbro and Takara; and those two companies said 'crap- this is going to be tough to engineer the transformations because we figure out the transformations first, then the bot designs; not the other way around.'

So, I wonder if Hasbro & Takara are having more influence on the bot designs for the second movie.

He somewhat did, on the highway after Bonecrusher's tf. Problem is, all that detailing from the close-up transformations is obscured in such a faraway shot. This particular transformation resembled a truck model totally crumbling and folding into a jagged humanoid shape on all fours. So yeah, the full-screen Prime tfs wouldn't have been as pretty. The other autobot tfs looked pretty good, however.

That scene may have shown more than just Prime's butt, but it's still too close. And too dizzying. Like bread crumbs falling and reforming.

I'd like to see something like, "Autobots, transform and roll!", and Prime transforms clearly from a standing still position. Where you can clearly see which part goes where.

During the encounter with S7, when more S7 vehicles are coming, all Autobots transforms, except Prime. That scene is really disappointing. He commands everybody to transform. And yet chooses to just hop around himself.
