this now puts to bed the following
- she creamed this at him to his face
- she said it in front of the crew
So the whole if you screamed at your boss like that would you get fired, is dismissed. And to be fair if i did say that to my boss, i would only be too happy to get the sack, because in my country we have employment laws, and if i was summarily dismissed because of this, i would enjoymy day in court and my substantial settlement for unfair dismissal.
No she made a comment about his attitude on set. She called him napolean to, was there any oprium about that. Further more and here is the important phrase, in the context of what she wa ssaying, she wasnt saying he is like hitler, because he tried to exterminate all the jews, or he used democratic means to install himself as a tyrant and led Europe to a second world war, but that he was dictatorial and bossy on set.
If she said stalin, chairman mao, etc would there be the uproar. of course not. Secondly if bay was so offended why did he wait til spielberg say she has to go. and hwy was this announed before the opening of the movie.
And finally, the one thing this thread did was to reveal that some people here dont really care about what she said, they just want to bash the person, this attitude exemplified by those who used the words tart, bitch, ugly, etc. Says more about you than her that you use those words to describe someone you have never met.

Yay
Here's what I'm getting from all this. Mind you not all this here in this thread, all this in the publicity in general. Megan gave Bay some ribbing on set, Bay told on her to big poppy Steven, even though it didnt bother him that much , Steven gave her the axe because of the "Hitler" quip, not so much Napolean quip. Well, for me anyways, I think it's a desperate ploy on the Marketers part (Yes, everything bad can and will be blamed on marketers and publicists) to play off an old story (Cause the Hitler story thing isn't anything new really, it broke quite a while ago, a few months if not last year I believe) to revolve more interest on "Moon", using Megan Fox yet again cause why? They can't seem to market this film effectivley without her it's seems. And for all the nay sayers here who are "Megan can't do this, Megan can't do that", we all as a forum simply cannot seem to get enough of her.
As for what happened between Megan and Bay personally, I think the best truth of the situation arose out of an interview Shia gave about Megan, how she wasn't used to Bays form of direction towards women. After two films worth of Bay's "Direction", which I'm sure consisted of, "Alright, smash your t!t$ together and get that @$$ up in the air, now pout, pout dammit I'm Michael blow $h!t up Bay!" (I censored in respect to the kiddies here on the forum) She just gave a little back of what M-Bay dishes on set, he cried to Steven, the rest is history. I really think Megan wasn't expecting Bay to cry to Steven, and the remarks she made carried no more malice then when Jerry Seinfeild created a character on the telly called the Soup Nazi, she was making a quip about Bay being a Dictator on set, not attacking the Jewish community and Steven personally. Nor was she attacking the French community either for that matter. But hey, maybe I'm over analyzing about Bay's direction of women on set. I mean, it's not like the screen capture I have of Megan from Transformers reflects anything that I posted about a hypothetical conversation I made up about her @$$ in the...oh wait

First, let me thank you for your coments to my last post. I salute you for being calm yet "combative" (sorry, that may have not been the best word) in this debate.
Now let me ask you an honest question..
I understand you shrug off hitler or other insults when your at work. For the most part, i do as well. I joke around with my guys at work. I think you have to be able to to keep the tension down. But at some point, even if it might not bother you cause your used to hearing it, at some point it stops being about what your comfortable with, and it turns into a respect issue. If your coworkers/employee's are talking about you in that manner, then my guess is there respect level for you has dropped. Also, if they blasted you like that in public or behind your back (which IMO, is worse than to your face), would you just shrugg it off the same as it was in the office?
So its not nessasarly about what someone finds unsulting, but about sending a messasage about respect.
shamone wrote:the nly bit you are off with is, megan made those comments in a print interview, not in front of bay or the crew.
Of course the posters on here who said it was wrong to say it in front of him and the crew, will now say it was wrong to do it behind his back
apart from that its fairly accurate appraisal.
i did bring up the soup nazi reference myself, and then the fact that seinfeld used schindlers list in a later episode of seinfeld. Who directed schindlers list again.

1. There's a big difference between two characters saying that in a script and actually calling someone a Nazi in real life.
2. Bay didn't really care. Spielberg, however, clearly had no more patience left for Megan.
3. Rosie is both hotter and a better actress, so it all worked out.
4. What's the third word supposed to be? The one with a W and then five asterisks? There's only one word I can think of like that that would be considered offensive, but it's not a work "redneck" type characters like the Wreckers would use.

I'm a huge megan fox supporter & even I don't care that she wasn't in DOTM.
If anyone wants to see more megan fox, then simply watch all her other non-TF movies.
I loved see rosie in DOTM because she IMHO was more beatiful in every way possible.
