We all know the fanbase is pretty sizable, but dont start kidding yourself into thinking that you alone will be able to cause the movie to bomb, there are many more casual fans that there are hardcore fans and we should all just let the box office numbers speak for themselves come july 9th, because they have a nice long weekend to work with. Most people are complaining because the designs arent what they are used to, or that starscream looks like a monkey without even giving anyone a chance to prove that the movie could be remotely good. If someone likes the movie then obviously they have been paid off, or if you like the designs then you arent a true fan because "micheal bay" had something to do with them. Theres a reason that fans get made fun of so much in popular culture(like in Clerks 2) No matter what you are spoonfed you always want to find something to complain about.

You people still don't understand what I'm saying. I'm saying that the fanbase AND everyone else who has been out of the loop for a while will bomb the movie. I, for one, am discouraging people I meet here and there from going to the movie, as some people here should be. If this act of boycott continues, THEN it will most likely bomb. This movie threatens to change Transformers into a TV show about demonic monsters that like to kill army men. As some people have put it, it's a civil war. You're either with Bay, or you're with the purists. *holds out red and blue pills* Take your side.

Seriously, if you don't like what the movie will offer, don't go. If you contribute to the success of something you don't like, you'll never get what you want: getting back to the winning formula. I'm not going and I tell that to any of my friends who ask. Those casual fans will likely not go either.

That's what I have been saying, but it needs more effort than that. We need to tell friends and family to boycott the movie.

And hand over their money to Bay, warranting the return of Bayformers? Never.

So your plan is to force your opinions (of a movie you haven't even seen) on 12 million people against their free will. You'll tell them what they should or should not like, they should have no say.

Sounds like a great plan, just don't let that pesky little killjoy, "common sense", get in your way.

No, when I tell them what we know, they immediately turn off to the movie. Common sense is my friend.

That dusty rectangular thing under your over-looked calculator is called a "dictionary". Perhaps you should look up the definition of the word: "delusional". Never mind, here it is:

noun - a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact.

Please refer to that word before you continue to post about Seibs getting paid off by Dreamworks, trying to convince 12 million people to not watch a movie they want to see, and whatever else you have up your straightjacket sleeve.

Thank you for your cooperation. Good night.

If I knew a baker used bugs to bake a loaf of bread you bought without knowing and I warned you before you ate, would you attack me because I convinced you not to eat something you wanted to? The people I warned were either childhood Transformers fans or knew someone who was. They were appauled at what Bay did and were glad that I warned them. You see, if enough people go to see the movie, most will resent it and will be screwed out of their money. The money would warrant a sequel, and we would be doing this dance for three more years. I know what delusional is, too. It's people like you that want this movie to succeed with the added bonus of corrupting the core of Transformers with the monkey/bug body frames and the demonic Megs.

BTW: I've dropped my claim on Seibs after new details that have surfaced. Maybe now I can get to know him better. I AM a newbie after all.

I don't think is right to force your opinion on others, or try to foster a boycott of this movie. This movie is going to be crap, that's my honest opinion and if anyone asks for it that's what I'm going to tell them. I'l tell them how Michael Bay is directing it, well known for crap movies, how it's less about Transformers and more about action, how it has the sort of comedy that appeals to a disfuctional 9 year old, how they messed up the Transformers designs, how the Matrix is now called the Allspark, and ho the story is simplistic and uninspired. If that doesn't turn them off them more fool them.

Anyone who tells people to boycott a movie based in their personal opinion is a mug. If something was terribly wrong with the film (i.e. slave children were used in the production, or it showed drug taking in a glamourous and exciting way) and that was your reason for the boycott then fair enough, but other it's just freakish.

I'm not scared of many things in this world, but that sort of insanity really, really does terrify me.

A_K has a point. If you don't like it, fine. Feel free to tell people if you want... but boycotts, vendettas, and forcing your opinions on people is not the way to go especially based on your line of reasoning.

You are new, so just think a bit. Accusing the site owner of fraud and trying to derail the franchise is not the best first impression.

Because the original transformers series was not simplistic, think before the comics came around, before everything had this extensive 25 year backstory and go back to when you first watched those first couple episodes. Simplicity at its finest.

Although I think you sentiments are misguided, I'd have been very happy if the movie was just a retelling of the first 3 G1 episodes.

Every series that comes out has a basic retelling in a new form, transformers are always the same old things but with prettier colors and drawings each time, and with a little bit more anime influence each time. The original g1 stuff was not compelling storytelling by any means. People fear change and that has been never so prevalent as it is with the development of this movie and its complaints that the "purists" always seem to have

I like the movie desighns i just hate the heads. Evrey TF line that has come out and has used the same bots have given them heads that look like there G1 heads. Prime example Starscream. Take evrey Starscream figure and look at the heads. They either look the same or are verey close. And also Megatron is crap. He should have an arm cannnon and turn into a tank or a giant railgun cannon. Or at least be a triple changer.Tank, Jet, Robot. And Meg's head is the worst in the movie. He now has no chance of tricking humans to trust him. Like in that one G1 episoide were he tricks the humans that the Autobots are the enemy and the Decepticons are good. If this Megatron would say that would you trust him? No just look at his menicing head. He's the evil space robot comeing to kill us all. I see were Bay was going with the movie bots. He wanted to do someting new. But he made it to new and to diffrent. And if you dont want to pay money to see the movie then get it on bootleg or get a free movie ticket thing like i have. Im going to use the free ticket thing that im saveing to see it and then im getting it on bootleg. If its good then i'll go and pay money to see it. But if it sucks balls then i'll watch the bootleg to see the shiney ILM effects.

And i know my spelling is off but im not fixing it because im typeing this on my PSP and it is a pain in the ass to go and check my spelling.

...from my understanding the "allspark" is just a generic artifact that wasn't really meant to represent anything. In fact, from the pic they had of Sam carrying it, not to mention earlier codenames for it, it looked like they were going to make it an Energon cube.

....kinda funny how bay despises "blocky" robots yet the artifact they are seeking is a plain black cube...the very essence of "block"...assuming they aren't going to touch it up to be a different design, naturally.

I personally didn't like the original G1 Cartoon all that much. Even as a 6-9 year old kid i found it simplistic, poorly written, full of continuity errors and badly amimated. It was made purly to sell toys and the guys making it gave very little thought/or care to charactersiation and storytelling, it was just another pay cheque to them. You're right this movie is much the same but I dont se that as a good thing I see it as a several steps backwards.
