Ok, so after watching the bay.com 'sclusive trailer, I noticed that thing with Sam. Somthing entering Sam's mouth, close to the Scalpel's scene. Is Megatron or SS holding him down here? Who knows. Heres what Ive seen:

SS/Megatron holding down sam
Scalpel keeps Sams mouth open and implants somthing
Prime makes the drop on SS/Megatron

Could be just me, or is that 'somthing' a pretender thing-a-ma-jig?
Mabye the Pretender of Sam is alive through this, and only when that thing is removed is the Pretender revealed. Mabye Ratchet removes it? Hopefully. I totally grossed out when I saw that. Anyon else got any theorys on what that thing is?

Wait, mabye Sams hand injury from the pretender thing-a-ma-jig removal? Like rooting it out through Sam's hand? :-?

I thought they maybe turning Sam into a Pretender too.
There must be a point to the 'cons operating on him.
Maybe it's part of a master plan to infiltrate and control the human race by turning us all into Pretenders? The swines.

I think that's a bit far-fetched. I think that scene served as an instance of the Decepticons torturng Sam for whatever information they want.

Yeah ok, but want do they want?
A film like this isn't going to have a lead character tortured for no reason.
I think there is going to be some kind of human/cybertronian crossover. The concept of 'Alice' already hints at this.

I think its just info gathering to find as much as they can about the autobots and how to combat them

Well, I guess that's why we will have to see the movie.

I think there is going to be some kind of human/cybertronian crossover. The concept of 'Alice' already hints at this.

If there is any human-Cybertronian connection involving Sam, they should have introduced Maximus, if only briefly, to at least set up the Headmaster concept for the movie, or for TF3.

As for "Alice" forgive me for being ignorant of this, but I don't understand the significance. Explain. When I saw Isabel Lucas, the very first thought I had was "THAT girl should have been cast in the main female role, and they could have even called her Carly!" Much hotter than megan Fox. So was Rachael Taylor.

Not because it is a bad idea, but because it will fit all the other changes to the continuity.

Damn.

I would of rather had the T3 chick as a pretender then this idea.

When I first saw that clip, my first impression was that they were planting some sort of tracer on him. Or it could be something that has to do with part of the plot we're unaware of and it'd be impossible to simply guess what exactly they're doing. It likely has to do with why the kidnapped Sam in the first place.
