Classics Grimlock and Mirage

found a bunch of those two at my local walmart. Only had enough money for one, so i got Grimlock, and he was really awesome. Certainly a wonderful homage. Forarms are Cybertron Starscream short, but oh well.

That Grimlock is nice, though I would mhave preferred a more G1 style transformation instead of having the Dino head as his feet. I plan on getting two of him and kitbashing the second to give him a proper G1 style transformation. It will mean building new lower legs, but it is doable.

And where is your local walmart might I ask, as for the interest for the trastopians that are still on the hunt for him.

i look forward to seeing that. All it would take would be reversing the Dino legs/robo arms, building a new tail, etc, etc... actually it'll probably be pretty complicated, but should be awesome if you can pull it off. All i plan on doing is adding a peg to the gunblade, so he can hold it like a sword instead of a gun.

There is definately a lot that would need to go into it, but I can definately pull it off. Of that I have no doubt. First, the existing lower legs need to be gutted from the dino upper torso/neck, then the neck and head of the dino have to cut from the upper torso and hinges attached to the spine so that the upper torso can open and close. This then needs to be attached by a double-hinged swing arm to his back so it can drop down behind him in robot mode. After that, the head and neck halves need to be glued together and attached to the spine of the dino upper torso by a hinge so it can fold back just like G1 Grimlock.

The arms are the easy part since the only part that need to be swapped are from the elbow down, the upper arms/shoulders can stay where they are. It is the new lower legs/dino tail which will be the real challenge since those need to be scratch built.
