If Springer is as close to Kup as the Spotlight implies, and if Hot Rod ever gets as close to Kup in IDW as he did in the cartoon, I could see that creating tension between Springer and Hot Rod (tired, yet entertaining).

I also loved that Trailbreaker was the hero of this issue.

Just because he was the one who was able to complete the mission, he was not THE hero, but one of many. After all, they did lose other bots due to Kup's insanity.

Saved the day then, I guess. You know what I mean. :)

Sorry, yeah I guess I was in a funny mood when I wrote that, but I did know what you meant...

Well, contrary to what I wrote earlier, I relented and picked this up. A good story, and the 'sane' art was really nice. The 'insane' art was no where near as bad as the preview pages made it out to be, which made me glad. I hope they manage to bring Kup back to his good old ways. And poor Outback. Guess he wont be playing any major part in the IDW-verse. Although he did lend a hand quite a bit in that issue. :P

That was a VERY dark, disturbing tale. I liked it!

Agreed.
It was a popular issue too, as it took me quite a while to find it!

When I think about it, there are no other characters that I think they could have pulled this story off with, and still made it so good.

Im surprised at how easily Autobots die when attacked with an arm, maybe the Decepticons should stop bothering with Ore-13 and Blasters, and just charge the Autobots with the arms of their fallen comrades.

The only way this issue could have been better is if Furman had managed to convince Ryall that one of the bots who died from Kup's attacks could have been very short, worn orange armour and ryhmed only one line in the IDW Furmanverse...
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.
