Eh.... I'm not that exited at that price. Because when factoring the exchange rate, shipping, and sureshot custom fees, this will be a 400 Leaf Dollars figure.

If you order from Amazon Japan, it will probably come out closer to 200$ leaf dollars when all is said and done than 400. This isnt an exclusive this time so you'll get that MSRP discount.

Even at that price, my current credit card bill is glaring at me...

I got the MP-44 already, so this will be an easy pass for me, but it's nice to see a "budget" option for those interested in the mold but not willing to pay the full 400 USD price for the trailer.

But this confirms my suspect that the 400 USD price of MP-44 was proportioned to the MP-36 price.

More or less.
That kick-ass multi function trailer with the minifigs and other accessories are what "doubled" the price.

They could release a MP Megatron that have only the scope and one face as a black repaint for cheaper. However, the price difference wouldn't be by much.
