WoW/TF question

Postby Iron Prime » Thu Aug 16, 2007 2:24 pm

Weapon: Energo-Sword
I have a question for those of you who play World of Warcraft. The game has many many popculture and scifi references - but I haven't found any Transformers references. Have any of you? All I can find is the occasional player name....

Thanks,
S.P.

In the dungeon Uldaman, there is a enemy called Grimlock, who is a Trogg, and he say stuff like "me grimlock king"

Also, somewhere theres a badguy called Megaton or something like that.

Also, this should be in the Video game forum.

I would have to ask my wife. I'm a WoW widower... :(

She has WoW and I have TF's so we're even.

Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
One of the quests in Outland summons a scripted scene involving a gigantic Fel Reaver named Negatron, a nod to the Decepticon leader Megatron.

Also in Warcraft 3 there are several references to TFs.

The Goblin Tinker says "I'm more than meets the eye"(also whenever you tell him to move somewhere he says "let's roll out"; while I think it's more of a coincidence, I suppose it could also be construed as a TF reference).

Also, after being clicked several times, Illidan say "bah weep grannah weep nini bong- it's the universal greeting". :)

As for WoW, the references are pretty much limited to what has already been said.

Ive seen some actual players in WoW that quote only TV shows, movies, commericals, similar to the junkions.

That wouldn't be an actual reference to Transformers though. We just call those people "idiots."
