Mission Impossible (4) - Ghost Protocol

Man, I'm in love with BMWs but the movie just made me dig them even more. Glad Bond's got the Aston Martin because MI4 really showcased the BMWs well.

Of course there's more to the movie than just the car sponsorship. The action is pretty much nonstop, and I highly recommended it. They toned down the cheesy mask trick too. And Simon Pegg is hilarious.

Thoughts?

I'm a fan of the franchise, particularly the third movie.

I thought the movie was a lot of fun. Great action film. While I went to see the IMAX version for the Dark Knight Rises prologue, I'm glad to see Mission: Impossible this way because it really uses the format well.

To me the only reason for seeing this would be to see the Batman promo thing, but that's what Bonus features on BlueRays are for! :D

I just don't like Tom Cruz and therefore don't want to support him by spending money on his films.

I really liked this movie. Leagues better than #3, Cruise's self indulgent display of baddassery was toned down and the focus was shifted more to the Team perspective the franchise was about originally.

With that said Simon Pegg is really funny, but Tom Cruse gets some really funny one liners as well. I loved the BMW eye candy but really hate to see them smashed up like that.

I'm a big fan of the series and appreciate all the little continuity nods to the earlier films. but I still think #3 was the weakest of them all. However, my only real gripe with this movie was the lack of Luther. Seriously he's the tech guy. Not knocking Simon's performance, but I thought Ving Rhames deserved more than a tiny cameo at the end.

That's Rhames fault because he wanted an outrageous salary for the movie, and the producers simply didn't want to fork the money over. Either way, I thought Pegg and Renner were ten times better. I'm psyched to see Renner as Hawkeye now in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Saw it this week. Very good. Fast paced action, coherent plot. I've seen all of them, and they get better with each one. Paula Patton =P~

Saw this yesterday. I thought it was a good movie, Pegg was hilarious as well as non stop action. Dubai scene was a bit crazy :)
