Presently, my hopes for this being good are not high.

Hollywood has been toothachingly disappointing.

Can't be any worse than the 80's movie. So, I'm upbeat.

I've not looked into the casting too much, and being some one who grew up with heman I am the modern audience so hopefully the heman actor, just isn't good at press releases.

Sounds like battlecat will speak unlike 200x. The armor the eternia gaurd is wearing looks good plus edris can act so yay! And I'd prefer him over Henry cavil any day of the week.
Skeletors collector ship was cool to see.
Adam/heman sounds like he needs dubbing, bring Garry chalk back or anyone for 'I have the power'. That or I'll swap audio over on the 4k

Not sold on teila but when there is evil lyn, not sure it matters. Guess it's hard to tell Adam, we sent you away so nasty bat-man didn't abuct you like he did your sis.

Hoping it doesn't make me cry in the wrong ways or just be a meh fest, but either way, I'm off to the imax to see yet another jarred letto film and question my life choices.

Going to give it a go and not too worried if it's awful, plenty of decent content out there.

Jared Leto (as Skeletor) is largely my only concern for this. Also how they are going to play Skeletor: Oppenheimer camp? Langella theatricatics? Lane mania? Dobson menace? Or Hamill's.. joker?

Will there be Easter eggs to look out for, I wonder?

I have seen Masters of the Universe (the 1987 live-action movie) at least once...on DVD.

There's this international trailer that was posted today as well. I think it's different than the previous video. It's about 20 seconds longer.

I am incredibly excited about this movie. I was a MOTU fan before Transformers debuted. I had a really, really nice collection of MOTU figures ... more than Transformers initially. But once I saw the live action movie as a kid, my interest just dropped off. It was OK. As an adult, I have an appreciation for it. MOTU has always held a special place in my heart.

I'll never forget when MOTU 200X debuted on Cartoon Network the week before Transformers Armada. I thought the new 200X cartoon was awesome (and the Beast Wars cast helped cement that to me) but was incredibly disappointed when Armada rolled out. I had very high expectations after seeing the first episode or two of MOTU 200X.

Anyways, it looks like the upcoming MOTU movie is paying proper homage to the legacy and brand of MOTU. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it does well and breathes new life back into that franchise.

If I wasn't a Transformers fan, I'd probably be a MOTU fan. It has captivated my imagination since I was 5 years old. As an adult, I don't collect MOTU but I do enjoy selling MOTU products in the Seibertron Store and I probably watch as many YouTube videos about MOTU as I do Transformers (and MCU related videos from places like New Rockstars).

My biggest bummer is that I wasn't able to get Eternians.com off the ground. One day! I swear!

Can't wait! MOTU has the power!

I could see King Hiss and the Snake Men. However, I feel like they'd go the She-Ra and Hordak route. Or maybe do Snake Men but introduce elements that get us to the Etheria route (though I wouldn't be surprised if they just got rid of Etheria and kept it all on Eternia). When I talk to my wife's friends/cousins who remember He-Man but don't understand why She-Ra is absent or think Teela is She-Ra in the trailer. They seem very confused that She-Ra is absent from this which always takes me out of my element.

It is weird that She-Ra is consistently dropped out of the lore, when it suits IE NA, 200X etc My thinking though, when it comes to Hordak. To the casual audience, he is a bit too similar to Skeletor. At least with the Snake Men you could take the story in a contagion direction (or an invasion, with the Space Mutants).

I forgot about the Snake versions of Teela, Man-At-Arms, etc. From a story perspective, I never thought about the similarities between Snake versions and Slime Pit He-Man and other characters, etc (though I guess that's more of a Zombie-like thing, but still similar when looked at with the "contagion" aspect).

There is a lot that they could cover with just the main characters that appear to be absent such as Mer-man, Whiplash, Webstor, Stinkor, Moss Man, Clawful, Jitsu, Stratos, Zodak/c and so on.

As an X-Men fan, I would say to temper expectations about who will make the leap to Live Action.

Fair. However, Mekaneck and Ram Man immediately jump to the top of my list of characters that would never appear in live action.

Toys affiliated with the movie are showing up in Australian stores (Kmart, Toymate).

Man, I want electronic He-Man's sword (Kmart $49 AUD). Yes, it also vibrates if you're that way inclined.
