Maybe that Barricade is a blue police car, like I guessed...
We'll have to wait and see.

Huh? He's a customized Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The bottom of the card where they label the licensing isn't seen (it would be below the names of the "Also Available" characters").

Don't think so. If it was licenced, there would be a logo on the grille, 'pickup mode' would say '(name of truck) mode,' and there would be the manufacturer's logo on the card in the gap between the robot mode an the cosells.

Before the movie line, the only liscensed altmodes were the Side Burn molds and the Alternators. Did that stop you from buying other stuff?

Hey, in G1 they toys weren't licenced, they were just ripped off!

"Cross Sell" is a term used for the advertising of other figures. It's not the name of a character. Here's Wikipedia's listing for a Cross Sell: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_selling
The other figues you see listed on the packaging are what's known as a cross sell.
Thank you! I'm sort of embarrased at how many people didn't catch onto that, it's porbably just a mistranslation from the Asian boards.
Dropkick is cool though, anyone notice the all the decals on the entire hood and roof of the truck form a giant Decepticon symbol?
Wicked, eh?

He obviously isn't a facsimile of an existing vehicle, if that's what you mean.

What is with the Bayformer Designers, and extremely disproportionate robot modes? The Alt mode is nice and sleek (bar the spoiler, thats just rice-burner crudness, and Im sure the tray cover is there to hide robot parts only).
The King Kong styled robot mode however is just disappointing, But I guess it will give Starscream a friend.

Really? I could have sworn I saw someone offhandedly ID the vehicle mode earlier in the thread, implying that it was pretty obvious to anyone who knows enough about pickup trucks.
That being said. I fail yo see why having a liscensed vehicle mode would be so important... it seems to me that having a convincing one, IE one that wouldn't seem out-of-place at full scale on the road, would be good enough.

Hey, someone also said movie Swindle was a Chevy Cobalt. I think these non-licensed guys look close to actual vehicles, but are just different enough so they don't have to pay for rights.

Personally, it doesn't bother me if the altmode's licensed or not. I couldn't care less, as long as the robot and altforms are nice.

I'm not going to say, "Eww, it's a fake [insert brand here]!" I enjoy it more when they are not licensed. It just makes me feel like more effort was put into making the toy, you know what I mean? The toy designers made up the altmode, not some car company they bought the rights from.

True, but this is no top fuel dragster. It is a pickup. Spoiler, very unnecesary.

Actually, Swindle IS a Chevy Cobalt. Though not very well done, sadly.

Looks more like a...well, yes, a Colarado. I said Silverado before, but now that you mention it, it DOES look like a Colorado. I like it. Bulky or not, he's buff. Things seem to look better in real life, so I won't be so quick to write him off. Love the huge Decepticon logo.

I saw a review identify Swindle as a Saturn Ion... Ah well.
And yeah, thes movie toys do look a lot better in real life. I didn;t really warm up to Wreckage until after I bought him...
As for the huge 'con logo... Is there anyone who doesn't love it? I like it too, I'm just surprised there isn't someone who finds it tacky...

I wonder how many of these Deluxe figures we'd see in a sequel, if any. Another nice figure though. The robot modes have really grown on me and I'm pleased with the alt mode as well. I can see a teal and light blue repait of this one called "Kup"...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

I have a sneaking feeling that any of the Decepticon drones from the game will be wide open to slight head re/re to make way for the Autobot fodder from the game. Ya know, I think I could accept that.

I'm hoping if there's an Autobot version of Dropkick, he has a huge Autobot symbol.
