You know, most of the movie figures are pretty good. It's just like any line. There are always going to be some really good figures, and there are always going to be some really bad ones. The thing about the movie line is that most old school "Gee Wunners" are so stuck in nostalgia that they can't wrap their heads around their favorite characters being changed so drastically aesthetically. It's also become cool to hate Michael Bay, so anything from the Bay-Verse is automatically hated.

Funny though, because most of the people who hate the movie-verse for changing their beloved characters so drastically go apeshit over Animated figures.

Hey, I represent those remarks... mostly! My movie figures, minus one or two, are the first to get sold!

I'd say pretty much every single Scout class in the line (with the possible exception of the microscope mold) rocks, in addition to a large number of non-motorcycle Deluxes, most of the Voyagers, and Leader Prime in all his permutations. The entire HA line seems pretty good, too (ignoring the hideous heads on certain figures based on embarassing characters)

I guess I'm "stuck on nostalgia" because I don't really like the look of most movie figures.

People WILL have different views as to what makes a good looking TF. Whether that means they hate Animated or the movie or beasts.

That said, there's some I like, most of which have been mentioned. Deluxe Sideswipe and RotF Prime.

I'll give some love to Ejector, Bludgeon, Seaspray, and Legends Devestator. I finally got Supreme Devestator now that he's half his retail price at Wallmart ... he's worth $50 to me, not $100. For $50 he's not bad.

I got him for $25 and didn't really find him to be worth any more than that. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but he was pretty much what I expected.

The problem with a lot of movie figures is fiddly transformations and a lot of them having 'backpacks' of kibble. Like deluxe Skids and Mudflap. Their transformations are basically peeling away panels, and turning them back involves lining everything up just so.

AHHH! I wish I could've got him for $25!

$25 is an awsome price. His sheer size makes me think he's worth more (I like me some big Transformers), but for $25 he'd be great.

Bludgeon and Mindwipe, the standalone Constructicons, every Scout-class, Leader Jetfire, and Brawl. I missed out on Leader Brawl, but I assume he's just that much more awesome. I also enjoy the Ice Cream truck twins.

I agree with many others that have stated that the Scout Class figures are the shining examples of win from an otherwise mediocre-to-bad line (07 movie included). I also found the Voyager Class ROTF Megatron to be the best movieverse example of the figure, but that is not to say that it's great, just good enough to own. The figure I seem to like the best out of the whole of the ROTF line is Brawn....great little figure indeed!

Other than that, I let much of the movieverse lines go...Just not interesting enough for me.

Everything I was going to say about the Scout-class figures has been said. Almost every time I go toy hunting I end up coming home with another one. So far, only Scalpel and Nightbeat have been disappointments - and with those I actually REALLY LIKE the molds, just their transformations are way too hard for how small they are. (And quality issues with Scalpel - on mine most of his leg ball-joint sockets were cracked through straight off the card.) Brakedown and Ejector are still tied for my favorite Scouts.

07 Leader Brawl is probably my favorite figure ever.
Long Haul, Mixmaster, and rampage are all good.
I don't have Prime, heard he's awesome.
Movie 1 Deluxe Barricade is sort of average, he could be better, they should redo him in my opinion...
07 Leader Prime was nice too.
Just from seeing them, HFTD HailStorm and TerraDive look very good as well.
I don't recommend The Fallen unless you're building your own Leader, worst figure I've ever owned <_>

I think there are a bunch of great figures from the movie-verse. Both Leader Primes are great-I actually like 07 just as much as the
RoTF version.

Leader Starscream is a near perfect figure in many ways. Truly amazing.

Leader Brawl is very good and represents the on-screen character very well in both modes.

I absolutely love the Voyager Ironhide mold. Completely and utterly love that mold.

The 07 BB mold was and still is great even though the Battle Blade Deluxe has taken BB to a whole new level. Both are very good.

Brawn is just freaking amazing, and I feel the same about RoTF Lockdown.

Dropkick is outstanding.

Landmine is extremely good. One of my favorites.

Long Haul is great and so is Mixmaster.

Deluxe Sideswipe.

Deluxe Barricade.

Too many of the Scout Class figures to list. Ransack is my favorite for sure.

The whole HA line is amazing.......except for Sideswipes back kibble.

Mindwipe.......Bludgeon.....etc.........

Seriously, there are a ton of figures that are really quite good from the movie line of toys. I think the movie line has gotten a bad rap. Too bad that a lot of people don't accept the movie line as being a "quality" line of figures. Opinions are what they are.

I enjoy the movie line figures for the most part and I'm a big G1 fan.

As far as aesthetics, I like the movie character designs. I also like the traditional TF designs too. For me, they both can exist as things I enjoy despite being quite different.

As far as toy design, I think the movie line toys are great overall and have pushed TF toy design ahead significantly.

So for movie figures that don't suck? Rather than make a list, I'll just say "most of them", hehe.

Agreed! I don't mind the movie designs but many of the figs have this issue (automorph can also be annoying) and combining this with poor plastic makes me much more picky when it comes to the movie line much to my wallet's delight :)

My fav's though are
Brawn
Seaspray
Mindwipe
Bludgeon
Voyager Optimus (first movie)
Barricade (first movie)
Sideswipe
Protoform/entryform/meteorite? Optimus Prime (he has awesome articulation)

Obviously, RoTF Leader Prime, movie 1 Megatron, RoTF Megatron in tank mode only, and from what I've seen, Recon Ironhide isn't bad. I never got the toy because it sold out before I got the cash, but if I see it I will pick it up.

I do want a Deep Desert Brawl, though he looked awesome.

I like movie line because of their real (or close to real) alternate mode. Robot mode depends. I kind of don't like the dinosaur/bird/chicken style legs and feet that many figures have. 07 Arcee is good and I much prefer this version more than the ROTF unicycle sisters.

Strangely the only toys I'm not fond of are the characters who actually appeared in the films, except for Brawl and Blackout.

Love the Real Gear guys except for that handheld game Decepticon, Power Up.

Firm favourites I have include:

Wreckage (dying to get the Bludgeon repaint)

Brawl (love the desert camo scheme version but they could have named it Armourhide to give us the RID homage)

Incinerator

Dirt Boss

Nightbeat (would prefer a more G1 botmode but the car is awesome)

Payload (what?)

Clocker (so deserves a Hot Rod repaint and I love Basic cars)

Crosshairs

Arcee (Energon repaint. blue colour really suits her)

ROTF Superion

Rampage

Dreadwing (I like the camera head drones from the game. Swindle would've been here if he'd been a basic)

Dune Runner (should so get a head remold and give us Ruckus)

Hard Top

Knock Out (Anyone else see him as a pre-Beast Wolfgang?)

Long View

Over Cast

Reverb (love the Gobot homage)

Speed Dial (day after I bought him, I picked him up instead of my mobile on way out to work)

Spy Shot

War Path (reminds me of G1 Inferno)

At some stage I want to get Bludgeon (Wreckage repaint, not the naff skull headed tank), Whirl, Breakdown, Fearswoop and Grindor.

If I didn't have issues with cars that aren't Basics or Diaclone size, Bumblebee, Barricade, other Dead End and the other deluxe cars would probably be on my list, apart from those Twins.

Oh yes, we need a bigger Bonecrusher!

But from a big G1 fan, there's an awful lot of nice Movie toys out there. Slag, G1 had a fair share of crap - Chromedome anyone?

Jetfire is probably one of the worst. Leader-class... with almost his entire robot body hanging on underneath a fiddly as all hell alt mode with panels that can barely fit together to save their lives!

I am a G! collector and fan, but still i like most movie toys and robot designs.

It isn't so i will run and buy movie toys, it is out of my budget.

But i appreciate them for their artistic design.

Now to a drawback for movie toys, my kids cant transform many of them without my help, so as toys for 5-7 years boys i must say many old g1 as the powermasters, minibots are allot better.

Still i can see them as great toys for 10+ boys.
