Going to go with Disagree, simply because I can think of more than 10 'big' movies that sucked way worse than ROTF. (Don't let's quibble on the definition of 'blockbuster'!)

Slightly agree.

I think ROTF isnt in the top 10 worst movies, but neither should Star Wars, because it was ok.

ROTF wasnt good, but it was entertaining.

So, I think ROTF was bad, but not in the top 10 movies bad.

That's not quite a fair assessment either.

The story was light, no doubt.

The TransFormers, the special effects, the stunts, the explosions, all top notch.

Even the human performances were good (except for the comedy scenes, though Shia pulled it off. The rest of 'em, however...not so much.)

So there was quality to the film, saying otherwise is just an unfair jab and not true.

The TFs alone should prove there's at least some legitimate quality work going into the film.

I was thinking about the extra crap (erotic dog sequences, lame desert scenes, unnessesary jokes) when I posted that earlier.
I did enjoy the movie, and I loved all of the special effects.

This whole Fans vs Critics thing is messing me up.

I agree.

Because I hated the Twins, and Jar Jar Binks.....and alas here they both are on the same list.

Also, to degrade the quality of this film may in fact pressure the studios to make the quality of the next film all the better.

X Men 3 and the following Wolverine being prime examples.....
People dumped enough money into X3 to green light Wolverine. Even then, the studio looked to cut corners thinking the star name and character popularity would do the work. I fear the Transformers franchise has fallen into the same territory.

I guess the movie was good in the sense that it had lots of explosions and action and such, and the Transformers themselves were amazing, but everything else with the movie is wrong. Way too much stuff unexplained, a lot of things were confusing (like all the Constructicons) and the acting wasnt the greatest (not saying it was bad, but its not award winning good)

I enjoyed the movie, in fact I wouldnt mind seeing it again, but only if I want to see a bunch of Decepticons get mercilessly destroyed, which is something I never want to see. Ever.

Thats another thing. They need to balance out the losses on both sides. I know you dont go to a movie to see the bad guys win but cant we at least have a Decepticon aside from Megatron kill an Autobot? There are a great deal of Decepticon fans out there, myself included. In the next movie, try not to make the giant, scary, killing monsters known as the Decepticons get slaughtered by the good guys.

I went on a rant I know, but ill sum it up with these three words. Agree to Disagree.

Well, which parts do you consider unexplained? The first movie was terrible in this department, actually. We never did find out about Barricade's fate.

And relying on the comics as an answer to what happened doesn't work with me. The general audience watched the movie and assumed he died. Only fans would know what happened in the comics, even lesser numbers of people would actually buy the comics.

As for the Constructicons, that's easy.

The hatchlings seem to be the only sentient Decepticons (aside from Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, etc. This would also explain why Starscream was so worried about them dying.) I'd say outside of Devastator, the rest were drones, and they copied the same Earth modes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Devastator wasn't individual Constructicons, he was one mind shared over multiple components, just like Arcee was, and Magmatron from BW Neo before them.

That's why there were so many Constructicons. Had they used the Stunticons instead of Constructicons, we would've seen the same scenario, just cars and trucks instead of construction equipment.

Ever wondered why we never see duplicate robots of Optimus, Megatron, and the like? Because they're sentient. I'm not sure they can be copied. I'm not even sure that Devastator was sentient.

Evening it out wouldn't be realistic. At all. In war, no one has equal numbers die. Someone always has superior firepower, or sneak attacks etc. Evening it out would just look silly. A compromise to make everyone happy, and the audience is smart enough to figure it out sooner or later.
