BBTS has just listed the pre-order for Takara Tomy's upcoming MP-12 figure Lambor aka Sideswipe. Their initial price is $159.99 but that's tentative until they confirm the final pricing-hopefully that price could drop as several MP figures have in past situations like this. The figure is scheduled to be released toward the end of 2012.

After seeing this year's upcoming MP-10 release from Hasbro, I'm thinking a $50 (give or take) US release of MP-12 is worth waiting for.

We just received word from site sponsor BigBadToyStore that pre-orders for Takara's highly anticipated MP-12 Lambor have been opened! The figure is priced at $159.99 and scheduled to release something in the fourth quarter.

They have also listed pre-orders for Takara EZ Collection - Gum Wave - Metallic Repaints. These are priced at $49.99 and scheduled arrive in August.

I can see it being fifty bucks on the domestic market. I'm still shocked that Hasbro is actually giving us Prime's trailer to go along with it.

I wouldn't say he's a Voyager. Probably somewhere in between a Voyager and a Leader. I can see where BBTS is coming up with its figures in price; seeing how it's foreign, probably more show-accurate, die-cast, etc. I agree the price is scandalous, but charging lower than $90 is a little bad for their business.

I've read it's been measured against MP-10 and it it comes out to 17 cm...so not quite 7 inches. Without the fig in front of me, I think that comes out to about Classics Prime size. If it's anywhere near $160, I won't be touching the Takara version.

Considering they started the MP Sunstorm at 250 and it's now 170, I'd say their good on their promise to reduce pricing.,

But...didn't they originally only reduce it to $220? Then they probably saw nobody was going to buy it from them so they dropped it further to $170.

For some Autobot I barely even know compared to Prowl,Sideswipe or Sunstreaker,that price isn't right at all. If this was MP Soundwave then we got a deal.

Wow I am very dissapointed with MP-12...Very box-ish, small(I expect him to be the same size as Starscream ATLEAST) and expensive...Takara you failed me T_T...Ah well guess I'll just have to wait for MP-13.

I don't know the reasons for the further price reducing. Maybe it'll happen again in this case?

Oh, absolutely not. This is a complete and total pass for me. I'll wait for the US version, or if it doesn't come, then I won't get one at all.

A figure this size, for that price? Ridiculous. I know the economy sucks all over, but this is just ridiculous.

I'm not getting this because I have no need for it. Other than that, it looks sweet. If you guys were loving boring crappy hot rod/rodimus, these looks so much better. Way more detail, turns into a countach, etc etc. If I had a ton of cash and room to show off more TFs, I'd get it.

I think the price is simply a placeholder to start getting pre-orders before other sites offer one. It's a good strategy, except that price is very misleading and probably off-putting to their target audience.

So far, there's been no official statement regarding price or if anything else is included with the figure (which I doubt there will be). However, one should safely assume that it won't cost as much as the MP-11 Starscream. so let's set the Starscream price, ensure sales early, and then drop the price once an official one is released.

Also, for those asking about the height of Lambor, check out this picture posted earlier today:

Clearly to show that Lambor will be smaller than MP-10 Prime. I'm not sure what's going on with Takara, but Lambor shouldn't be shorter than Starscream, even if it means he's shorter than MP-10 Prime. I just wonder if all future releases will be shorter, or some might go back to the current MP size. Or even if we'll get back to the larger MP figure, like original Prime or Megs.
