I actually enjoy a lot of 3rd party stuff over the official
Dude, do you have to be such a jerk?

Well to you, Hercules might be a TF, but officially, it's just another transforming robot that looks like a TF. You can believe what you want, but don't argue with the presupposition that those beliefs are a fact.

Also, Takara's MP-10 was like $250 online. Hasbro's retail MP-10 is $100, which is only 40% of Takara's price tag. If Takara's MP-12 is $100 now, it won't be more than $40 when it's released domestically. Do the smurfin' math. :-B

So a 40% reduction in price is a guarantee you must work for hasbro now or did you break it down to a science. And who said it will release in America hasbro knows a prime figure will sell how about we see if SS makes it to the states b4 we start guessing pricing on a figure that might not sell to well and not make it to the states
I made a reasonable assessment based on the statistics. What have you got? >:oP

Yes, we are all living. But that don't help in your argument.

Again, what have you got to support your argument?

I just want Hasbro to take a bunch of pictures with Sideswipe and Prime's trailer to just end this debate and get people to stop saying it's going to be a deluxe.

Also, I'd guess the price either around 60 or less for the US market. It could be more depending on how it is marketed. I've seen crazier things. But who cares until we actually get prices. Not like talking about the price is going to make a difference unless your actually counting the pennies in your pocket for saving up.

So we're getting an Alternator/BT sized Sideswipe who is obviously much smaller than MP Rodimus and the new Convoy/Prime. I thought we were supposed to be getting a comprehensive scale going forward. This is obviously not the case. I don't care that Soundwave is the next MP. If we can't get a decent comparable scale, I am done with MP figures. This all over the board tactic is enough to kill any excitement I had.

You're kinda right, he is too small. Sure in the fiction he's smaller than Prime, but not that small. If they where really scaling based on the bot modes, his head should reach just to the lower half of MP10's chest.
I hope it's larger than the sketch tells us it is.

No MP figure should be that small. New Starscream, New Prime, Grimlock and Rodimus are all in a general scale that works very well together. Who effed this up and more importantly, why? I can't believe how frustrated I am about this. It's alternately funny and not funny at all. Sheesh.

As I said before, seems like they're trying to keep the vehicle modes in scale to keep with a sense of realism. I actually think thats much better than having the bot modes in scale. But I can understand why people find it annoying aswell. I like that my collection, comprised mostly of deluxes, are all the same height in robot mode.

Actually, MP-10 on does supposed to have in-scale robot modes. And if you look on any G1 character scale sheet with optimus Prime and an Autobot car, the cars are almost always up to Optimus' waist. So Sideswipe is in-scale with Op in bot mode. >:oP

I've had a good look at the little red chap, and i quite like him. the $140 price tag doesn't offend me as much as some others who post here. I choose not to compare him not with fellow MP's, just as a stand alone piece.
If you compare him with MP10, then yes, the $140 is a tad high. However, if you compare him to say a Henkei Ghost Starscream at $100, Stepper at $120 or the soon to be released Artfire at $150, then to me, he doesn't seem all that over priced.

I see your point but Ghost Starscream, Stepper, and Artfire are all exclusives. The latter two required buying $20 Japanese magazines and submitting coupons to be used for them. MP Sideswipe is not an exclusive.

It was just a case of *insert 3 TF's and prices here* kind of thing. Now with the $100 price point established, it's even easier to make comparisons. But you all get my drift anyway
