Are the ko cassettes pretty much spot on in quality?
The Takara version is completely faithful to the original American cartoon but comes with just Laserbeak (in addition to the other accessories.) However you can get the other four cassettes from eBay if you don't mind KOs.
1st of all, you can get the official cassettes separate from soundwave in packs of 2 at around 25$ (check the pic from my previous post on this thread). plenty on ebay, not sure why they should be Ko's...
2ndly The Hasbro version comes with all cassettes but ratbat.
3rdly but most importantly u can find the hasbro version at toys r us for some $150.
4 OR... you could buy soundblaster, sell ratbat (before they make him available like other cassettes) for a ridiculous amount of $ and buy the cassettes separately
you show me 1 toysrus that still has one since last year, and ill give you my entire collection. that figure was impossible to find.
Completely agree. Anyone expecting to actually find one in a TRU (or spent anything close to retail price) is delusional.

No joke.
The box was beat up with an ugly crease going down the front side of it, but it was factory sealed and all the contents inside were A-OK, much to my relief. Never saw another one again, after that, so glad I grabbed it when I did.

My friend found and picked up mine for me but the box was just beaten to hell. The one corner was just absolutely crushed. Everything inside was fine but it was obvious why it was still there. Still, it was the only one anyone I know ever even found at retail.

i got mine from toys r us (UK)
and in the uk it was listed until a couple of months ago
Susha wrote:I'm not sure of the exact reasons, (less demand/customers?) but I remember being told when i was buying mine that not all toys r us stores in uk had him, because they wouldn't even shelf toys above a certain price.
Anyways the end result was that i kept seeing soundvace mp on the TRU uk website for atleast a year after it first appeared. On a side note, currently metroplex is still available but i have no idea if they started putting it on shelfs due to its huge success as they did in us (atleast i read so on seibertron news?).

What's more is that the Metroplexes that it had seemed to shelfwarm for a couple months before I caved in and bought the last one they had during the online sale their website had that let one purchase an in-store product at the website's discounted price.

Good news for you but in the long run............bad news for us? If this was on clearance, does this mean the Titan series bombed? Will this mean we won't be getting more figs at this scale?
